Bradley’s soccer career started with the Sockers FC, who went to the National Championship in 2002, finishing in third place. From 2002 to 2004 he played with the United States Under-17 Men’s National Team Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida. In 2004, at the age of 16, he signed a Project-40 contract with the MLS, being selected in the first round as the 36th overall pick by the MetroStars in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, with his father being the team’s coach at the time. After missing his rookie season due to a foot injury, he played 30 matches in 2005, helping his team reach the play-offs. Bradley’s time with the MetroStars greatly contributed to his net worth.

The following year he was sold to the Dutch club Heerenveen for $250,000 and a portion of any sell-on fee, becoming the youngest player in the history of the MLS to be sold to a foreign club. After helping his new team to a coveted UEFA Cup spot in 2006, he went on to enjoy a successful second season, being included on the Gold Cup roster and breaking the record for the most goals scored in a single season by an American soccer player playing in a European first division. His wealth grew larger.

In 2008 he joined the German Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach, signing a four-year contract with the club, further expanding his fortune. His tenure with the Bladbach also saw some impressive performances from the player.

Bradley then spent most of 2011 playing with the Aston Villa of the EPL on a loan contract. Later that year he signed with the Italian Serie A club Chievo, increasing his net worth. The following year he joined Roma, signing a four-year deal for a transfer fee of €3.75 million. All added to his wealth.

In 2014 he was sold to Toronto FC of MLS for $10 million, remaining with the club ever since. After becoming the team’s captain in 2015, Bradley helped win the first ever eastern conference championship for Toronto FC in 2016. His tenure with the team has significantly increased his fortune.

Bradley has also been a member of the United States national team since 2006, the same year his father became the team’s coach. He went on to achieve impressive results while his father coached the team, helping them to take the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup title. His performances at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup reinforced his reputation as a valuable player, earning him a US Soccer’s Young Athlete of the Year award. He also proved his skills in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mexico in 2009, as well as in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, although he didn’t participate in the tournament final. He again showed his versatility as a player for the U.S. team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup. As of 2015 he has been the national team’s captain, so he is a captain at both club and national level, and being a member of the US national team has been another source of Bradley’s net worth.

When speaking about his personal life, Bradley has been married to former college tennis player Amanda Barletta since 2011, with whom he has two children.
