He was named to the All-Big Sky Conference First-team again in 2014 and 2015, and upon graduating in 2017, Cooper was selected by the Los Angeles Rams as the 69th overall pick from the National Fooball League (NFL) draft; he signed a four-year $4 million contract on 9 June, with close to $1 million signing bonus. His debut was the Rams’ 46-9 win over the Indianapolis Colts, and he was then named to the 2017 All-Rookie Team.
Cooper became the Rams’ starting wide receiver in 2018, but then suffered an injury in a game against the Seattle Seahawks, tearing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and thus having to be benched for the remainder of the season; the Rams still reached Super Bowl LIII, losing to the New England Patriots 13-3.
