Larry Christopher Allen Jr., born on the 27th of January, 1971, is an ex- American Football player, who became known for playing fourteen seasons in the National Football League (NFL).

Born in Compton, California USA, Allen had a rough childhood growing up. At 6 weeks old he contracted meningitis and almost died. He was also stabbed when he was 12 years old while trying to protect his younger brother – their neighbour stabbed him 12 times in the head. Allen also had a tough time during his high school years – he attended a different school every year. In his freshman year he attended Centennial High School in Compton; Tokay High School in his sophomore year; Edison High School in his junior year; and Vintage High School in his senior year, but he wasn’t able to matriculate.
Despite performing well in football, Allen’s grade wasn’t enough for him to attend a Division I school to play college football. He first attended Butte College, where he joined the school’s football team. During his time in Butte, he was named to All-Conference and All-State teams for two years. After attending Butte for two years, Allen then transferred to Sonoma State University, a Division II school. He was a two time All-American, participated in the East-West Shrine Games, and the Senior Bowl.
In 1994 NFL Draft, Allen was selected by the Dallas, Cowboys in the second round, 46h overall, actually a high position for an offensive lineman. He was the first player ever to come from Sonoma State University. His move to play professional football certainly helped his career and tremendously increased his net worth.
Allen played with the Cowboys for a 12 seasons. He helped the team win the Super Bowl XXX against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1995-96 season, helping him earn as Super Bowl Ring. After playing with the Cowboys, he transferred to San Francisco 49ers to play for only two seasons.
In 2008, Allen signed a one-day contract with the Cowboys to retire. His time playing professional football helped increased his wealth significantly.
