Kit attended Southfield Primary School, then at the age of 11 his family moved to Worcestershire. where he enrolled in Chantry High School. After watching a production of “Waiting for Godot”, Harington became interested in acting and performed in several school productions. He went to Worcester Sixth Form College to study Drama and Theatre, and later, upon moving back to London, he attended the Central School of Speech and Drama. While he was still a student, he was cast in the role of Albert in the National Theatre’s adaptation of “War Horse”, a play which won two Olivier Awards and brought Kit recognition and attention. This established his net worth.

Soon after, he was given the role of Jon Snow in the TV series “Game of Thrones”, and upon the show’s debut in 2011, Harington’s fame rose rapidly. For his performance, Kit was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor on Television, IGN Award, Golden Nymph Award and six other awards, and won an Empire Hero Award in 2015. Harington made his film debut in “Silent Hill: Revelation” (2012) – a horror film – and for this role he was awarded the Young Hollywood Award in 2013. His other notable roles include those in “Testament of Youth”(2015) in which he played alongside Emma Watson, and “Spooks: The Greater Good”.
