Julie Bidwell was born on 25 September 1973, in Hartford, Connecticut, USA, the daughter of Fabiola R. and Howard Dexter Bidwell. Of Colombian heritage on her mother’s side, she has a sister and four older half-siblings from her father’s first marriage.

Once she obtained her degree, Julie joined WLVI-TV in Boston. After a year of honing her skills there, Julie moved to WHSV-TV station, headquartered in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where she was the local news anchor for two years before she became the news anchor and reporter for WBRE-TV in January 1999.

However, this didn’t last long, as Julie was recruited by WFSB TV in her hometown of Hartford, where she remained there for two years, after which she became the reporter for WNYW, headquartered in New York City, a Fox News affiliate and better known as the flagship Fox 5.

She served almost four years in the position before she was recruited by Fox News channel as an anchor, beginning her work on “Fox Report with Jon Scott”.
