Jay Phillip McGraw was born on 12 September 1979, in Wichita County, Texas USA, and is an author and television producer, but perhaps best known as the son of Phil McGraw aka Dr. Phil. He is the CEO of Stage 29 Productions which creates a lot of the “Dr. Phil” specials. He’s also made numerous appearances in the “Dr. Phil” show, and all of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Aside from the “Dr. Phil” projects, he also started to appear in “Renovate My Family”, which he hosts. He also worked on the reality project “Moochers” which was about people who try to make their relatives or friends who have overstayed their welcome in their homes, leave and be independent.

Jay then started working on the show “The Doctors” as executive producer, a talk show that airs in several countries around the world. It is a spin-off of “Dr. Phil”, the third such generation spin-off since “Dr. Phil” was a spin-off from “The Oprah Winfrey Show”. It started airing in 2009, and has won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show, from all of which his net worth has benefited substantially.

Aside from his work on television, McGraw has written a total of five books, including “Closing The Gap: A Strategy for Bringing Parents and Teens Together”, “Life Strategies For Teens”, “Life Strategies For Teens Workbook”, “The Ultimate Weight Solution for Teens”, and “Daily Life Strategies for Teens”. In 2010, he also started a website called “RumorFix” which aims to examine stories in tabloids and try to determine if the stories are true. The website is compared to “Gossip Cop” which has a similar aim. His net worth continues to rise.

For his personal life, it is known that Jay married Playboy model Erica Dahm in 2006, at his parents’ home in Beverly Hills . The couple now have two children and reside in Los Angeles. Aside from that, Jay also has a younger brother who is a musician. He is a licensed pilot and a Tae Kwon Do black belt. He takes part in a lot of outdoor activities including golf and diving.
