Who is Jamie Hector?

Jamie was born in Brooklyn, New York City USA, on 7 October 1975 – his zodiac sign is Libra, he holds American nationality, but is of Haitian descent. He’s an actor with more than 60 credits to his name, while he’s perhaps known best for his portrayal of Jerry Edgar, one of the lead characters in the popular crime series “Bosch”. Early life and education

Jamie was raised in Brooklyn by his parents, about whom nothing’s known as he respects their privacy; it’s said that his father was the owner of a carpet store, and that his mother worked in it too. Because Jamie hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, his fans believe that he’s an only child.

He became interested in acting at a quite an early age, and when he was nine started appearing in plays performed both at a local theatre and his elementary school. Jamie studied at a local high school, was a member of its drama club, and also played soccer and basketball.

It follows the wealthy night club owner James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick who’s also a drug lord; the series aired from 2014 to 2020, and won 14 of the 40 awards for which it was nominated.

Most recently, in 2022, Jamie starred as Sean Suiter in the drama mini-series “We Own This City”.

He made his debut film appearance in the 1998 sports drama “He Got Game”, while a couple of Jamie’s following roles were in the 1999 crime drama “Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai”, the 2000 drama “The Day the Ponies Come Back”, and the 2001 crime drama “Prison Song”.

In 2002, he played Dunn in the action crime drama “Paid in Full”, directed by Charles Stone III, and which starred Mekhi Phifer, Wood Harris and Chi McBride. Jamie is a philanthropist, and has worked with various non-profit organizations, as well as founded his own in 2007, called Moving Mountains, Inc. It’s a theatre-based organization, which offers free acting and dancing classes to children and teenagers who might not be able to afford them.
