He suffered injuries in a truck crash in Canada when he was a passenger in a pickup truck, while the producer Will Morrison was in the driving seat. Morrison’s reckless driving was apparently the main reason for the accident when they veered off the road and crashed into trees and bushes. Rowland stated that he suffered severe injuries and that he cannot return to the show, while he also said that the injuries affected his sex life, and has  sued the “Ice Road Truckers” and producer Morrison, alleging negligence.
