Pat was adopted by Mary Kathleen and James Donald McConaughey when he was two years old, and was raised in Uvalde, Texas, alongside his brothers Michael and Matthew.

He attended a local high school, and upon matriculating in 1980, enrolled at the Southwest Texas Junior College, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1984.

Jackson in the 1996 movie “A Time to Kill”.
