From an early age, Rylan turned towards performing arts, firstly music, then modeling and later television; he was a part of a number of cover bands singing songs from Take That! and Westlife before turning to modeling, when he adopted the name of Rylan, as he thought it was more unusual.

His on-screen career started in 2010 when he starred in the BBC One show “John Bishop’s Britain”, hosted by the famous British comedian. He then became a part of Sky Living’s modeling competition show “Signed by Katie Price”, and reached the finals, but unfortunately he was named the runner-up.

He wanted to showcase his singing talents, and auditioned for “The X Factor” in 2012; during his stint on the show, Rylan sang such songs as “Don’t Cha” by The Pussycat Dolls, then Rihanna’s “We Found Love”, “Gold” originally performed by Spandau Ballet, then The Supremes “You Keep Me Hangin’ On”, and Duran Duran’s “Girls on Film”. However, he was eliminated before the finals, reaching the No. 5 position.

His appearance on “The X Factor” turned him into a star, as he gained popularity from people across Britain. This newfound glory encouraged him to audition for “Celebrity Big Brother”, and not only was he accepted, and was eventually named the winner of the season, which largely increased his net worth, and popularity as well.

Since then, his career has been in a constant upward spiral; he joined ITV and Channel 5, appearing in a number of popular shows for the TV stations. On ITV, Rylan featured in the show “This Morning”, and was also a “Hub” presenter, plus alongside Matt Edmondson served as co-host of “The Xtra Factor Live”, which only increased his net worth. To speak further of his accomplishments on ITV, Rylan then hosted the game show “Babushka”, and the panel show “Codswallop”. On Channel 4, he served as co-host of “Big Brother’s Bit on the Side”, and since 2016 has been serving as a presenter of the show “Up Late with Rylan”, further increasing his wealth.

Most recently, Rylan joined the W channel, and has been serving as a presenter of the show “The Wave” since 18th January 2018.

When it comes to his personal life, Rylan is openly gay, and since 2015 he has been married to Dan Neal.
