Born Gregory Carpenter Gagne on the 12th November 1961 in Fall River, Massachusetts USA, Greg is a retired baseball shortstop who spent 15 seasons in the Major League Baseball (MLB), playing for the Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Dodgers before retiring.

The following year, he made his professional debut for the Twins and played for the franchise until 1992, winning two World Series with the Twins, in 1987 and 1991, before the expiration of his contract in 1992. He was a major contributor to the Twins’ defense during the World Series finals, and earned the respect ofm the fans and front office. Unfortunately, the latter still decided not to extend his contract after 1992, and as a result, Greg signed a contract with the Kansas City Royals worth $10.6 million over three years, which increased his wealth to a large degree.
