Glen Rice Net Worth $35 Million

Just like every other NBA star, Glen`s dominance began in college; he played basketball for the University of Michigan team, the Wolverines. With the team, he won the NCAA Championship in 1989, and was named as NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player and was the Big Ten Player of the Year, all in 1989. He set several records, some of which stands today, including career points with 2,442, and single season points with 949, among others.
Thanks to his great year in which he won the NCAA Championship, his draft position improved, and he was selected by the Miami Heat as the fourth pick in the 1989 NBA Draft. Glen signed a rookie contract with his new team, and his career was ready to start. In his first season in the NBA, Glen averaged 13.6 points per game, which was enough for third place on the team, however, in the forthcoming years his numbers increased, and in 1994-1995 season, Glen averaged 22.3 points per game, which helped the Heat considerably, but still they couldn`t reach the play-offs.
Before the start of the new season, Glen was traded to the Charlotte Hornets for Alonzo Mourning. His numbers in Charlotte became even better, averaging over 20 points per game in his four seasons with the team.
In 1999, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won his only NBA Championship the following season after the trade. His numbers with the Lakers declined, but he was only a third option in offense, behind the undisputed duo Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O` Neal.
After the Lakers, his next stop was New York, as he was traded to the Knicks, but he didn`t stay there far long; after one season he was traded to the Houston Rockets.
However, battling with injuries, in two seasons Glen only played in 62 games and averaged nine points per game. He was then sent to the Utah Jazz, but was waived by the club, following which he signed a one year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, which certainly increased his net worth, however, after only 18 games, he announced his retirement.
During his career, Glen won several awards and recognitions; he participated in the All-Star games, 1996, 1997 and 1998, and won the NBA Three-Point Shootout in 1995. Furthermore, he was the NBA All-Star Game MVP in 1997, and was selected into the All-NBA Second Team.
Regarding his personal life, Glen has been married to Tia Santoro since April 2016, however, the couple has been together on and off since the 1990s. They have a daughter, however, Glen has five children from his other relationships, and was apparently married before. He is the father of Glen Rice Jr. who plays in the NBA Development league.
