Early life, parents and education
Giselle is being raised in Poughkeepsie alongside her older sister Julia, by their parents about whom nothing’s known, as the girls respect their privacy. Julia’s also an actress, and has appeared in the movies “Sex Tape” and “Danny Collins”, and in the hit comedy news talk-show “The Daily Show”.
Giselle became interested in acting at a very early age, and it was her mother who had noticed her impersonating the actresses and musicians she saw performing on TV. She took Giselle to an audition, and so she got to launch her acting career aged six, with her portrayal of Skylar Belfort in the popular biographical crime drama “The Wolf of Wall Street”, directed by Martin Scorsese, and which starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie.
It tells the story of Jordan Belfort, who stole millions of dollars from gamblers and investors, was eventually arrested and imprisoned, but then regained fame with his personal memoirs; the movie won 37 of the 221 awards for which it was nominated, including five Oscar nominations.
