Although born in New York, Giselle was raised in Puerto Rico from an early age, where she also studied. At the age of 14 Blondet’s first appearances were when she started appearing in various telenovelas, and she then gained popularity through roles in numerous Puerto Rico soap operas of the late ’70s and the early ’80s. At one point, there was a public rivalry between Giselle and Millie Aviles, another young actress who resembled her physically and was at the start of her acting career too. Throughout the ’80s, Blondet participated in various TV shows, mini-series, soap operas and even theatre plays, steadily making a name for herself in the industry of entertainment.
