Born as Adele Emily Sandé on the 10th March 1987 in Sunderland, in Tyne and Wear England, Emeli is a songwriter and recording artist, best known to the world for her singles “Read All About It”, and “Beneath Your Beautiful”, among many other achievements.

Her debut studio album came out in February 2012, entitled “Our Version of Events”, which topped the charts in the UK and Ireland, achieving multi-platinum status in Britain, and gold status in the USA, which increased Emeli’s net worth to a large degree.

Regarding her personal life, Emeli confirmed that she was engaged to her boyfriend, marine biologist,Adam Gouraguine, in January 2012 – the two were in a serious, 7-year relationship. They married in September 2012, in Montenegro, but after a year, Emeli and Adam divorced.

Emeli is also known for her philanthropic activities as she has performed numerous benefit concerts, including being present at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation Event in 2013, and has started the program Community Clavinova, through which she helps many kids to received free Clavinovas. Also, she is a part of the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaigns, among other endeavors.
