Yasmin was born in Jamaica in 2000 – she hasn’t shared her exact date of birth, but her zodiac sign is said to be Sagittarius, and she holds both Jamaican and British nationality. She’s an actress with more than 10 credits to her name, perhaps known best for her portrayal of Clara Mahan in the critically acclaimed action series “Hanna”. Yasmin was raised in England, as her family moved there when she was still a baby; she hasn’t shared any details concerning her parents, as she respects their privacy, but it’s believed that her father is a talent manager, and that her mother’s a professional dancer. Because Yasmin hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, most of her fans believe her to be an only child.
She became interested in acting when she was around eight years old, as she started watching movies and TV series with her parents nearly every day, while they also started taking her with them to the theatre.
She joined her high school’s drama club upon enrolling in 2014, and launched her acting career only two years later, with her portrayal of the lead character Kayla in the 2016 movie “Ellen”. It starred Tom Riley, Joseph Teague and Anjli Mohindra, and follows Will Wagstaffe and his team of detectives who are investigating violent attacks.
In 2020, Yasmin played Justina in the episode “Generational” of the drama “Unsaid Stories”; each episode is a short film inspired by the movement Black Lives Matter, and starred Amanda Abbington, Nicholas Pinnock and Adelayo Adedayo.

Yasmin has so far appeared in three movies, including “Ellen”. In 2019, she portrayed Annie in the drama “Nocturnal”, written and directed by Nathalie Biancheri, and which starred Cosmo Jarvis, Lauren Coe and Sadie Frost.
It follows the cynical schoolgirl Laurie, who’s befriended the older man Pete, without knowing that he’s obsessed with her; the movie won three of the seven awards for which it was nominated.
Yasmin portrayed Alison in the 2021 romantic comedy “Boxing Day”, written and directed by Aml Ameen, who also starred in it alongside Aja Naomi King and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. The film follows the British author Melvin who’s living in the US, and has returned to London for Christmas with his fiancée Lisa.
Yasmin is currently shooting for two upcoming movies: the short drama “Colby”, and the comedy drama “Portraits of Dangerous Women”.
