Eamonn Roderique Walker, born on the 12th of June, 1962, is a British actor who rose to fame when he appeared in the HBO television series “Oz”.

So how much is Walker’s net worth? As of late 2017, based on authoritative sources it is reported to be over $2 million, acquired from his years working as an actor in television, film, and even in stage productions which began in the mid-1980s.

Born in London, England, Walker is the son of a Grenadian father and a Trinidadian mother. He spent most of his time growing up in Islington, London, but also lived for a while in Trinidad when he was young. He attended Hungerford School in Islington, and later graduated with a degree in social work from the University of North London in the hopes of becoming a social worker.

Although Walker wasn’t able to pursue a career as a social worker, he did find a new passion for dancing. He was a member of the Explosive Dance Theatre Company in London for a while, but a calf injury prevented him from building a career in dancing.

Walker soon found himself with a new calling in acting. He studied in London and also at the New York Film Academy in the US to hone his craft. In 1983, he made his acting debut on stage in London in the production of “Labelled with Love”, then in 1985 he debuted on television in an episode of “Dempsey and Makepeace”. He later on also appeared in “In Sickness and in Health”, “Bulman”, “Tales of the Unexpected” and “The Bill”. His early years as an actor helped establish his career and also his net worth.

During the early ‘90s, Walker finally made it to the big screen, and starred in his first movie entitled “Young Soul Rebels” in 1991, then alternated between TV appearing in “Love Hurts”, “Birds of a Feather” and “One Foot on the Grave”, and movies starring in “Shopping” in 1994.

After years as an actor, Walker finally received his big break when he was cast in the HBO television series “Oz” – his role of Kareem Said, a devout Muslim in a maximum-security prison, earned him praises and prestige, playing the role from the beginning of the series in 1997 until its last episode in 2003, and earning him a Best Actor award in a Dramatic Series in the CableACE Awards. His appearance in “Oz” not only catapulted his name to stardom, but also tremendously increased his wealth.

Other notable projects of Walker also included the movies “Once in the Life”, “Unbreakable”, “Tears of the Sun”, and “Lord of War”. Today, Walker is still appearing in television series both in the US and UK – oNe of his most recent appearances is playing Battalion Chief Wallace Boden in the show “Chicago Fire”.

In terms of his personal life, Walker is married to Sandra Walker and together they have three children.
