Who is Solo Sikoa?

American professional wrestler Joseph Yokozuma Fatu, better known by his ring name Solo Sikoa was born in Sacramento, California USA on 18 March 1993, so Pisces is his zodiac sign. He’s a former NXT North American Champion, and is today a member of the villainous professional wrestling stable The Bloodline.

Education and early life

Solo was raised in Sacramento alongside his older brothers Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso, by their father Solofa Fatu Jr, known better by his ring names Fatu and Rikishi; Solo’s father has been inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame, while his brother Jey and Jimmy are also professional wrestlers. Solo’s mother Talisua Fuavai-Fatu’s a housewife, and prefers to stay away from the media’s attention.

Solo became physically active while attending a local high school, as he played football for the school’s team, ran track and threw the javelin. He matriculated in 2011 and then enrolled at American River College, at which he continued playing football; Solo eventually transferred to Dickinson State University, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2015.

Although Solo’s initial plan was to make himself eligible for the National Football League (NFL) Draft, he instead chose to focus on wrestling.

Career beginnings

It took Solo three years to prepare for his wrestling debut on 29 April 2018; he chose Sefa Fatu as his ring name, to honor his father, and often teamed up with his cousins Journey and Jacob Fatu.

Solo, his father Rikishi and cousin Vincenzo teamed up in a winning effort against Jay Bradley, Gringo Loco and Brubaker at the Zelo Pro 1 Year Anniversary Show on 24 August 2018. In December 2018, Solo wrestled for the first time in Future Stars of Wrestling (FSW), and on 25 January 2019 won the FSW Nevada State Championship, holding the belt until June of the same year, when he lost to Hammerstone.

He wrestled his first Arizona Wrestling Federation match in June 2019, and two months later defeated the American Wrestling Federation (AWF)) Heavyweight Champion Watson; Solo held the belt for half a year, losing it in January 2020.

In February 2021, he competed at Old School Championship Wrestling: Generation, defeating Carlito.

WWE

It was revealed on 30 August 2021 that Solo had signed a contract with WWE, and he made his debut on 26 October 2021 at Halloween Havoc.

On 28 December 2021, Solo feuded with Boa as his alter-ego attacked him backstage, and they fought in an episode of NXT on 11 January 2022. The two faced each other again on 25 January, in a special Fall Count Anywhere No Disqualification match, which Solo won by smashing Boa through a table. The following a couple of months saw Solo compete in both Spring Breakin’ and Stand & Deliver, and on 2 August, he faced and won against Von Wagner, but suffered a knee injury during the match.

It took Solo a month to recover from the injury, and he returned to Clash at the Castle on 3 September, which was also when he became a member of The Bloodline. He wrestled for the first time on SmackDown on 9 September, in a losing effort against McIntyre; Solo was disqualified because another wrestler attacked McIntyre from the back.

He won the NXT North American Championship on 13 September, having defeated Carmelo Hayes, but had to vacate the title on 20 September.

Most recently, at Survivor Series WarGames, Solo and The Bloodline defeated The Brawling Brutes.

Solo rarely speaks about his love life in public, but it’s widely known that he’s a married man.

He and non-celebrity American woman Almia Williams were in a relationship for several years prior to becoming engaged in 2020, and they married in a private ceremony on 28 February 2023, attended by many of their friends and family members; not a lot has been disclosed about Almia, because she prefers to stay away from media, but it’s known that she’s a year older than Solo.

Almia gave birth to their son Zion on 21 November 2018, and their second son Za’khi followed on 7 February 2021.
