Who is Peter Porte?
Born in Greenwood Lake, New York State, USA, on 31st March 1985, Peter Porte is a well-known actor who has appeared in soap operas, sitcoms and short films. At 6ft 2ins (1.88m) tall and weighing 185lbs (84kgs), Peter has won himself thousands of fans thanks to his onscreen charisma and good looks.

From an early age, Peter always knew what he wanted to be in life, and began acting in the third grade when he participated in a Christopher Columbus pageant. Peter revealed that he only got the role because his Polish mother used the country’s traditional garb to make his costume.

After matriculating from George F. Baker High School in 2002, Peter studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the pfestigious Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, after which he traveled to London to study at the lofty Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).

Although Peter’s first roles were less than glamorous, the actor persevered and worked hard to perfect his craft. We saw Peter for the first time onscreen in 2005, with a minor role in the made-for-TV movie “University Place”. Three years later, he had cameos in series such as “CSI: Miami”, and the mockumentary “Viralcom”.
In 2009, Peter appeared in an episode of the award-winning “Cold Case”, previously dubbed ‘TV’s most watched new drama’. He also branched out into more serious projects, by playing Pierre in the short movie “Moon Lake Casino”; the historical drama production’s original plotline about four ghosts who haunt a casino both enthralled viewers, and helped Peter gain popularity.

Peter became something of a household name in 2011, when he joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless” playing Ricky Williams. With over 12,000 episodes since 1973, and almost 300 awards won, the long-running series was Peter’s first recurring role and helped pave his road to stardom.
Ricky Williams was the son of Paul Williams and Isabella Braña, and appeared in 51 episodes before his untimely death at his father’s hand after being shot in the arm and falling out of a window during a heated confrontation. He had an important role in the series when he returned to Genoa City to work in a murder case, and many fans of the show were devastated to see him go.
Following his stint in “The Young and the Restless”, Peter didn’t have much luck in securing more steady work, and instead had to settle for appearing in episodes of “Parks and Recreation”, “NCIS: Los Angeles”, and “Mom”. However, that all changed in 2014, when Peter began working on “Baby Daddy”.
Appearing in 19 episodes as Brad, Peter farewelled the series in 2017 after three years.
Since then, Peter has appeared in several feel-good TV movies, with a few being “Cherished Memories: A Gift to Remember 2”, “Rome in Love”, and “Christmas Harmony”. His latest recurring role came in 2021 in the mini-series “Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem”, in which Peter played Kyle Graham in four out of five episodes. Having met in 2015 at Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night, and forming an unbreakable bond ever since, Peter and his longtime boyfriend Jacob Jules Villere married in 2018 in a simple New Orleans Ceremony, shocking heartbroken fans who didn’t know Peter’s sexual orientation. Although many hadn’t heard of Jacob before the marriage, Peter’s partner even attended the 2018 MET Gala alongside his love, who has previously been linked to actresses such as Chelsea Kane.
