Who is Bobby Moynihan?

American actor, screenwriter and comedian Bobby Moynihan was born in Eastchester, New York State USA, on 31 January 1977, making his zodiac sign Aquarius. He’s had roles in more than 150 movies and TV series, and is perhaps best known for recently playing Jayden Kwapis in the comedy series “Mr. Mayor”, created by Robert Carlock and Tina Fey, and which starred Ted Danson, Holly Hunter and Vella Lowell. The series follows a businessman who’s just become the mayor of Los Angeles, aired in 2021 and 2022, and won one of its six award nominations.

Education and early life

Bobby was raised in Eastchester an only child, by his father Robert and mother Irene Moynihan; he hasn’t spoken about his parents in public, because he respects their privacy, but it’s believed that his mother was a high school math teacher, and his father a bus driver.

Bobby became interested in comedy and acting while attending Eastchester High School, and often appeared in plays performed at the school. He matriculated in 1995, then enrolled at the University of Connecticut, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1999.

Bobby was then a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for nine years, and often performed with them in New York City.

He exchanged vows with American Broadway actress Brynn O’Malley in August 2016, after close to 10 years of dating; Brynn’s appeared in nine movies and TV series, and is perhaps still best known for her playing of Liz Martin in the 2011 fantasy series “A Gifted Man”, which was nominated for four awards. It’s widely believed that Bobby and Brynn met in 2007, when they appeared together in a Broadway play, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

Brynn gave birth to her and Bobby’s daughter in July 2017, but they’ve chosen to keep the girl’s name a secret.

Bobby hasn’t mentioned other women whom he’s been with; he’s married to Brynn O’Malley as of November 2022, and they have a daughter together.
