Who is Dan Mintz?
Daniel Alexander ‘Dan’ Mintz was born in Anchorage, Alaska USA, on 25 September 1981 – his zodiac sign is Libra, and he holds American nationality. He’s an actor, film writer and producer, with 18 acting credits to his name, while he’s perhaps known best for his portrayal of Vendor in the critically acclaimed comedy series “Veep”, created by Armando Iannucci, and which starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale and Anna Chlumsky. It follows the former Senator Selina Meyer, who has now become Vice President of the United States, a position which is not even close to how she had imagined it; the series aired from 2012 to 2019, and won 91 awards, including 17 Primetime Emmys, while it was nominated for 241 other awards.
Early life and education
Dan was raised in Anchorage by his parents, about whom not a lot is known, as Daniel respects their privacy; because he hasn’t spoken of having any siblings, he’s believed to be an only child.
He became interested in writing and comedy while attending a local high school, and performed in a couple of shows organized at school, doing stand-up comedy. Dan was into various other activities during his four years there, including playing the guitar and practicing tennis.
Upon matriculating in 2000, he enrolled at Harvard University, and was a writer for its humor magazine “The Harvard Lampoon”; he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004.
Roles in movies
Dan made his debut film appearance in the 2003 comedy “The Offensive Show”, directed by Gary Auerbach and which starred Lisa Arch, Scott Aukerman and Matt Besser. He then focused on playing and voicing characters in TV series, and hasn’t to this day appeared in another movie, however, he’s currently recording for the upcoming animated adventure comedy “Bob’s Burgers: The Movie”.
Back in 2016, Dan finished shooting for the short biographical comedy “Layla”, but it has yet to be released.
Roles in TV series
Dan made his debut TV series appearance in 2010, with his portrayal of Thomas Schaffer in the episode “Nature” of the popular comedy “Important Things with Demetri Martin”, created bythe latter, who also starred in it alongside H. Jon Benjamin and Barry Carl. It follows the show of the comedian Demetri Martin.
The following years saw Dan appear in an episode of several series, such as the comedy “College Humor Originals”, the comedy “Pretend Time” and the comedy drama “Mulaney”. In 2015, we heard him voice Miniverse Scientist, in the episode “The Ricks Must Be Crazy” of the animated adventure comedy “Rick and Morty”, created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, and which stars Justin Roiland, Chris Parnell and Spencer Grammer.
It follows the adventures of the super-smart scientist Rick Sanchez and his not-so-smart grandson Morty Smith; the series has been airing since 2013, and has won 20 awards, including two Primetime Emmys, and been nominated for 27 other awards.
In 2014 and 2015, Dan voiced multiple characters in four episodes of the animated action comedy “The Awesomes”, and a couple of his following roles were in the animated action “Adventure Time”, the animated fantasy comedy “Son of Zorn”, and the animated comedy “The Simpsons”, all voice roles.
Since 2011, Dan has been voicing Tina Belcher, one of the main characters as well as various others, in the critically acclaimed animated comedy “Bob’s Burgers”, created by Loren Bouchard and Jim Dauterive, and which also stars H. Jon Benjamin and Eugene Mirman.
It follows Bob Belcher, his wife and three children, as they’re running the family restaurant together; the series has won 18 awards, including two Primetime Emmys, and been nominated for 79 other awards.
Writing and producing credits
Dan has 21 writing and nine producing credits. He made his writing debut with the 2003 movie “The Offensive Show”, while he then wrote 22 episodes of the animated comedy series “Crank Yankers”, 16 episodes of the comedy series “The Andy Milonakis Show”, and 12 episodes of another comedy series, “Lucky Louie”.
He made his producing debut in 2010, working on 10 episodes of the comedy series “Important Things with Demetri Martin”, while he wrote 17; in 2013 and 2014, Dan produced 16 episodes of the critically acclaimed documentary series “Nathan for You”.
He’s also produced various episodes of the comedy series “Mulaney”, the animated action comedy series “The Awesomes”, and the animated fantasy comedy series “Son of Zorn”, most of which he also wrote.

Love life and wife Margie Mintz
On 29 May 2011, Dan exchanged vows with the American actress and comedienne Margie Kment, who’s known best for performing stand-up comedy around Los Angeles and New York City. She has given birth to their son Sam and daughter Anna, however, Dan and Margie are keeping their children away from the media’s attention, and haven’t even shared the dates of their births with the public.
Neither of the two have spoken of any other people whom they have perhaps been with, however, it’s widely believed that Dan had dated several women prior to meeting Margie, and some of his fans have claimed to had seen him spending time with several actresses who were, at that time, believed to be his girlfriends; however, Dan hasn’t commented on these rumors.
As of September 2021, he’s married to Margie Mintz, and they have a son and a daughter together.
Hobbies and other interests
Dan loves to travel, and his career has taken him all around the US, as well as to several European countries, such as Italy, Germany and Spain; his dream travel destination is Iceland.
He likes to watch animated comedy series in his spare time, and a couple of his favorites are “Solar Opposites”, “Rick and Morty” and “American Dad!” Dan also enjoys watching live-action movies, and his favorite actor and actress are Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, while some of his favorite films include “Sleepless in Seattle”, “Saving Private Ryan” and “You’ve Got Mail”.
He likes to play video games on PlayStation, and some of his favorite titles are “The Last of Us”, “God of War” and “The Witcher III: Wild Hunt”.

Dan’s age is 39. He has short brown hair and brown eyes, his height is 5ft 11ins (1.82m) and he weighs around 172lbs (78kgs).
