Conleth Seamus Eoin Croiston Hill was born on 24 November 1964, in Ballycastle, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, and is best known as the actor who portrayed Lord Varys in ‘‘Game of Thrones’’, and Brockman in ‘‘Whatever Works’’.

Hill was a student of St MacNissi’s College, and later on of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he participated in their acting program. He made his small screen debut with a minor role in ‘‘Boon’’ in 1988, and went on with support appearances in ‘‘Medics’’ and ‘‘Bunch of Five’’, in 1990 and 1992 respectively. In the same year, he worked on seven episodes of ‘‘Blue Heaven’’ , then in 1994 he landed the role of Michael in ‘‘A Man You Don’t Meet Every Day’’, a critically acclaimed drama romance movie, in which he starred alongside Richard Hawley, Colum Convey and John Keegan. As of 2007, Hill landed the role of Jared, one of the main characters in ‘‘The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle’’, in which he worked with Jennifer Saunders and Miranda Richardson.
