Cinthya Carmona is an American-Columbian stage, television and film actress, probably best known to the world as Sophie Cardona in the TV series “Greenhouse Academy” (2017-2020), and as Alexis in the film “The Tax Collector” (2020), in addition to numerous other popular roles.
Cinthya Carmona Biography: Age, Childhood, and Education
Cynthia Carmona was born on 27 December 1990 under the Capricorn zodiac sign, in Venezuela. Of Columbian and Venezuelan ancestry, Cynthia migrated to the US in her early years. She has desired to become an actress from an early age, stating that her inspirations were performances of Juliette Lewis in “Natural Born Killers”, and Jennifer Lopez in “Selena” among others.

She studied acting at Speiser Sturges Acting Studio in Los Angeles, and after completing the training, Cinthya moved to New York City, where she was trained under famed acting teacher Alice Spivak and On The Road Repertory company.
Career Beginnings
After years of training, Cinthya tried her luck and began auditioning for her acting debut. She made a minor appearance in the TV series “El Vacilon” (2009), but then waited three years for another role, as Sloane Peterson in the short film “Super 35”. The same year, she appeared in the TV action-drama series “True Justice”, created by and starring Steven Seagal.
The following year, Cinthya appeared in the action film “Ambushed”, starring Dolph Lundgren, Vinnie Jones and Randy Couture, while in 2015, Cinthya played Angela Flores in the thriller crime-drama film “Badge of Honor”, starring Mena Suvari, Martin Sheen, and Lochlyn Munro. She continued her career with roles in a couple of short films, including the awarded drama “Randy Doe”, which starred Russ Russo, and “Private Space”, in which she portrayed the lead character.

2016 was her breakthrough year for many reasons.

Most recently, Cinthya appeared in the award-winning TV series “FBI”, and has starred in the drama film Reefa”, next to Jose Zuniga, George Sear and Ricardo Chavira, about a Columbian artist who faces police brutality. She is also working on the action film “Repeater”, and on the comedy series “Pretty Smart”. Both projects are in post-production and awaiting release dates.

In addition to her extensive work on screen, Cinthya is known for her stage performances. Before making her professional debut, she honed her skills on stage by appearing in numerous plays with her repertory company.
