Chris pang is a renowned Australian actor and filmmaker, who is popularly known for appearing as Colin Khoo in the 2018 romantic comedy film, “Crazy Rich Asians”, and as Lee Tekkam in the 2010 action movie, “Tomorrow, When the War Began.”

Age, Early Life, and Education Background

Christopher ‘Chris’ Pang hails from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and was born under the Capricorn zodiac sign on 29 December 1984, which makes him 37 years old as of 2022. He is the son of Wing Chun – a Southern Chinese self-defense concept-based fighting technique – instructors, Barry Pang, who was born in Australia, and Anne Pang who was born in Taiwan but emigrated to Australia in the ‘70s. His grandparents were born in Canton, China. The “Tomorrow, When the War Began” star is a distant relative of the late legendary martial artist, producer, director, and actor Bruce Lee, whose father was his paternal grandmother’s cousin, born in the same village in Guangzhou, China. Chris was selling ‘phones when he began his career accidentally – he walked into a casting agency and was selected to lend his voice to a project because of his authentic Chinese accent. He was later cast to play Jackie Chan’s sibling in the Benny Chan-directed 2004 action film “New Police Story.” He attended The Australian Film & Television Academy (TAFTA), in Melbourne, to sharpen his acting skills, and thereafter relocated to Hong Kong and Beijing, China, to pursue a career in acting. Pang rose to prominence when he was cast for a starring role in the 2010 action-adventure film “Tomorrow, When War Began”, appearing alongside Caitlin Stasey, Deniz Akdeniz and Ashleigh Cummings. The following year saw him appear in the movie “Citizen Jia Li”, and also serve as an associate producer.

In 2014, he reunited with the actress Caitlin Stasey in the film “I, Frankenstein” and in 2016, he appeared as Flying Blade in the martial arts movie “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny.” Pang achieved worldwide fame when he was cast in the Jon M. Chu-directed comedy-drama “Crazy Rich Asians”, sharing the screen with Michelle Yeoh, Constance Wu and Henry Golding. Thereafter, he starred as Jun Jie in his film “Empty by Design” in 2019, and played Johnny Smith in “Charlie’s Angels” in the same year. Pang has partnered with department store David Jones to promote his Mr. Jones Style Series campaign. He appeared before the photographer Simon Eeles’ camera lens wearing  the store’s designer clothes. Pang has been the face of the Australian brand, Sheridan, and appeared in their campaign Tonight Makes Tomorrow. He has also popularized other brands such as SABA, JUUN.J, Kenzo, and Paul Smith.

Chris is dating his longtime girlfriend, the Los Angeles-based DJ, consultant, and model Eliana Guam, who is also known as Eliana Lee Yu. She has shared on Instagram that her talent is catfishing, and she also likes going on eating adventures together with Chris. She seems to be in her mid-20s judging from her Instagram videos and photos. The duo likes posting each other’s pictures on their respective social media accounts, captioned with heart-warming messages. Chris wished her a happy birthday and thanked her for always being there for him on Instagram on 13 February 2020. Pang now resides in Los Angeles, California.
