Carter Nicholas Oosterhouse was born on 19 September 1976, in Traverse City, Michigan USA, to Mary Lopez and Roland Oosterhouse, of Mexican-American and Dutch descent. He is a model and television personality, probably best known as a carpenter in the TLC television series “Trading Spaces”, the HGTV series “Carter Can”, “Red Hot & Green”,”Million Dollar Room” and “Celebrity Motor Homes” and the FYI series “Rowhouse Showdown”.

The following year he started hosting another HGTV show, “Red, Hot & Green”, promoting eco-friendly materials for earth-friendly living. As of 2011, he has hosted the HGTV show called “Million Dollar Rooms”, in which he introduces the viewers to extravagant and expensive homes. He has also hosted HGTV’s “Celebrity Motor Homes”, in which he visits the luxurious tour buses, trailers and motor homes of Hollywood stars. The year 2014 saw him hosting the reality TV series “Rowhouse Showdown” on the FYI network, portraying teams who compete in transforming dilapidated homes. His involvement in the television industry has enabled Oosterhouse to establish himself as a famous home-improvement expert, and all have added to his wealth.

Aside from the foregoing, Oosterhouse has also pursued a modeling career, including numerous modeling campaigns for major names such as Nivea, Lincoln and Miller Light. He has been featured in a number of television commercials, including for Bud Light, Gillette’s M3 Power razor and Rooms To Go.
