Robert Osbourne Denver was a New Rochelle, New York-born American comedic actor best known for portraying the character of Gilligan in the television series “Gilligan’s Island”. Born on 9 January 1935, Bob Denver was one of the very successful actors in the American film industry, Bob was active as an actor in the years between 1959 and 1997. He died on 2 September, 2005.
