William Boyd “Bill” Watterson II was born on the 5th July 1958, in Washington D.C. USA, and is an artist, cartoonist, and author, who is perhaps best known for being the creator of the comic strip “Calvin And Hobbes” (1985-1995).

After a few years without a success and countless rejections, Bill made a breakthrough with a strip entitled “Calvin And Hobbes”, which was syndicated from 1985 until 1995, becoming a major hit and increasing Bill`s net worth by a large margin. During the existence of the strip, Bill`s net worth and popularity rose through the roof. However, Bill decided to cancel the strip, and it was last published on the 31st December 1995.
