Aundrea is of Mexican ancestry; she went to Claremont High School in 9th and 10th grade, but then attended 11th and 12th grade at Upland High School. Aundrea was introduced to music at an early age, and sang whenever she could. While in high school she was a part of the pop ensemble Intrigue.
Before she started pursuing her musical talents professionally she studied to become a kindergarten teacher, however, she auditioned for the talent show “Making the Band”, just three months before graduation where she met Aubrey O’Day, and the two soon became close friends. The two were selected to enter the house among other participants, however, at the season’s end the band wasn’t formed; instead, Sean Combs chose Aundrea and Aubrey to participate in the following season.
The second season was more fruitful for not just Aundrea but for Aubrey as well, since the two and three other contestants, Wanita ‘D. Woods’ Woodgett, Shannon Bex and Dawn Richard became a part of the band called Danity Kane. They were signed to Bad Boy Records, and in 2006 their debut self-titled album came out and became a tremendous accomplishment by the young musicians, as it topped the US Billboard 200 chart and US R&B chart, and achieved platinum status, which only increased Aundrea’s net worth.
Their next album came out two years later, entitled “Welcome to the Dollhouse”, which also topped the US Billboard 200 and US R&B charts, and achieved platinum status as well. However, despite their success the group disbanded that year due to internal problems, resulting in Aubrey’s and Wanita’s departure, and the rest also followed so the group ceased to exist. Nevertheless, they reformed in 2013 and released a single “Lemonade” in 2014. Aundrea left the group later that year, and before Danity Kane released their third album “DK3”.
Apart from Danity Kane, Aundrea has also performed with the band Soto, while also singing a song called “Dip With You”, by Baby Bash. She has also collaborated with Dawn Richards alone, on the song “Phoenix”, from Dawn’s second album “Blackheart.
Apart from singing, she was also involved in J-Live Entertainment’s Next Big Thing Talent Show in 2012 as the executive producer.
Regarding her personal life, little is known about Aundrea’s private life, since she tends to keep her life as secretive as she can, and so far she has done a pretty good job; not even rumours of romance.
