Who is Annie Parisse?

Annie Parisse was born as Anne Marie Cancelmi in Anchorage, Alaska USA, on 31 July 1975 – her zodiac sign is Leo, and she holds American nationality. Early life and education

Annie was raised on Mercer Island, Washington State alongside her two brothers Michael and Louis, by their father Louis G. Cancelmi who was a senior executive at the major American airline Alaska Airlines, and their mother Annette who was a teacher. Annie’s brother Michael is also a teacher, while Louis is an actor, perhaps known best for his appearance in the award-winning 2019 epic crime movie “The Irishman”, which starred Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.

She became interested in acting while attending a local high school; Annie was a member of her school’s drama club, and appeared in plays performed both at the school and at a local theatre. She was interested in a couple of other activities during her four years there, including dancing, creative writing, and playing handball.

Upon matriculating in 1993, she moved to New York City and enrolled at Fordham University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre in 1997. Annie appeared in various theatre plays in the following four years, including “Antigone” and “Medea”, before launching her career on TV. She changed her name to that of her great-grandmother, simply for ease of pronunciation in the sometimes confusing world of entertainment.

Annie’s debut TV series role was her portrayal of Julia Linsey/Snyder, in the popular romantic drama “As the World Turns”, which aired its 3,600 episodes between 1956 and 2010; Annie was a member of the cast from 1998 to 2002. The series follows the lives of the Stewart and Hughes families, and won 90 of the 546 awards for which it was nominated.

Between 2002 and 2006, Annie starred as A. D. A. Alexandra Borgia in the mystery crime drama “Law & Order”, created by Dick Wolf, and which today stars Jerry Orbach, Jesse L. Martin and Dennis Farina. The series has been airing since 1990, and follows the police investigating crimes which are then taken to court; it’s won 53 awards, including six Primetime Emmys, while it’s been nominated for 203 other awards.

Annie made her debut film appearance with her portrayal of Wendy in the 2001 drama “On the Q. T.”, and a couple of her following roles were in the critically acclaimed 2003 romantic comedy “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days”, the drama “Pagans”, and the science fiction crime drama “NYPD 2069”, both in 2004.

In 2005, she was cast to play Morgan in the romantic comedy “Monster-in-Law”, directed by Robert Luketic, and which starred Jennifer Lopez, Michael Vartan and Jane Fonda. In October 2009, Annie gave birth to their son Emmett Sparks, and in 2014 to their daughter Lydia Sparks; Annie and Paul are trying to keep their children away from media, and thus not a lot about them is known.

On 20 December 2018, Annie and Paul’s divorce was finalized; neither has given a reason for the separation, nor spoken of any people whom they might have since dated.

As of October 2021, Annie’s single, has been married once, and has two children.

Hobbies and other interests

Annie became passionate about travelling not long after she launched her acting career, and has since visited numerous US states, many European countries, and several Asian and African countries; her dream travel destination is Prague in Czech Republic.
