Annabeth Gish was one of three children of Robert Gish, who taught English Language at the University of Northern Iowa, and Judith Gish, who was a teacher at Malcolm Price Laboratory School. Annabeth lived in Cedar Falls, Idaho from the age of two, and there she attended Northern University High School. Afterwards, she decided to pursue a degree, and she graduated with BA in English from Duke University in 1993.
