Alan Frederick Horn was born on 28 February 1943, in New York City, USA, of Jewish descent. He is an entertainment industry executive, probably best known as the former President and COO of Warner Bros, and current Chairman of the Walt Disney Studios.

Horn grew up in Riverhead on Long Island, New York. He attended Union College in Schenectady, New York, graduating in 1964, then earned his MBA from Harvard Business School in Boston.

He also worked at Norman Lear’s television production company, Tandem Productions. In 2012 he joined The Walt Disney Studios, becoming the company’s Chairman.
