Who is Ainsley Seiger?

American actress Ainsley Seiger was born in Cary, North Carolina USA on 4 September 1998, making Virgo her zodiac sign. She has only four acting credits, and is perhaps known best for playing the main character Detective Jet Slootmaekers in the popular crime mystery series “Law & Order: Organized Crime”, which Julie Martin, Warren Leight and Ilene Chaiken created, and which also stars Danielle Mone Truitt and Christopher Meloni. It follows Elliot Stabler who took some time off work following a personal loss, while he’s now back to fighting organized crime with the New York Police Department; the series has been airing since 2021, and has won two of its five award nominations.

Education and early life

Ainsley was raised alongside her sister Avery Seiger in Cary, by their father who’s a goldsmith and jeweler, and mother who’s a voice coach and opera singer; Ainsley hasn’t shared many details about her family, as she respects their privacy.

It was while attending Apex High School that she fell in love with acting, after portraying Wednesday in the school’s production of “The Addams Family”; Ainsley could then have been seen playing Nikki in “Curtains the Musical” and Cossette in “Les Miserables”, both also school productions.

She matriculated in 2016, and was in July of the same year named Triangle Rising Star by the Durham Performing Arts Center; this also meant that Ainsley was to spend a week performing alongside Broadway professionals at Minskoff Theatre.


She continued her education at the University of North Carolina’s School of the Arts, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2020; Ainsley appeared in a couple of plays performed at the school, including her portrayal of Wendla in “Spring Awakening”.

Career as an actress

Ainsley’s acting debut was playing the main character Joan in the 2019 short movie “American Waste”, written and directed by Jordan McLaughlin, and which also starred Pat Monaghan and Navarre Megali. It follows the couple Miles and Joan; Joan’s working at a local junkyard and is a struggling artist, while Miles is also an artist.

Ainsley reprised her role as Detective Jet Slootmaekers in the 2021 episode “Fast Times @TheWheelHouse” and the 2022 episode “Gimme Shelter – Part Two” of the crime mystery series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, which Dick Wolf created, and which today stars Ice-T, Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay. It follows a squad of detectives as they’re solving crimes in New York City, the series has been airing since 1999 and has won 63 of the 233 awards for which it’s been nominated.

Ainsley reprised the role once again in the 2022 episode “Gimme Shelter – Part Three” of the crime mystery series “Law & Order”, which Rick Eid and Dick Wolf created, and which stars Dennis Farina, Jesse L. Martin and Jerry Orbach. Each episode covers a single crime, told from two perspectives, the series has been airing since 1990 and has won 54 of the 257 awards for which it’s been nominated.

Other credits

Ainsley appeared in the 2018 short documentary movie “Bernstein’s MASS: An Artist’s Call for Peace”.

She was featured in the TV special “2021 It’s Toast”.

Ainsley’s active on several social media networks, and is today followed by close to 40,000 people on Instagram, but has uploaded only 31 pictures and videos; most of these feature her during her everyday life, while others show her shooting for the series “Law & Order: Organized Crime”.

Ainsley’s tweeted close to 300 times since the launch of her Twitter account in April 2018; she’s today followed by more than 25,000 people, and most of her tweets are in one way or the other related to the series “Law & Order”.

Ainsley’s also active on Facebook, and has 920 friends on the social media network, however, it doesn’t seem that she’s allowing her fans to befriend her on Facebook, wanting to use it only to stay in touch with her friends.

Even though she doesn’t have a TikTok account, Ainsley’s still popular on the network as many videos featuring her have been uploaded by other people, and these have been watched more than 750,000 times.

Ainsley rarely speaks about her love life in public, as she prefers to keep her private life separated from her professional, however, she’s revealed that she’s bisexual, and uses all pronouns (he/they/she).

Some of Ainsley’s fans believe that she’s today in a relationship with a non-celebrity American girl, as two people on the internet have claimed to have seen the two women spending time together at a nightclub in Los Angeles, California but no evidence has been provided to support this, nor has Ainsley addressed the rumors.

There are also those who believe Ainsley to be currently focused on her career, and that she’s not pursuing love, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.

Ainsley seems to be single as of March 2023, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Ainsley’s following a highly strict diet, and some of her fans have asked her if she’s perhaps anorexic, as she’s too skinny, but Ainsley hasn’t taken the time to respond.
