He grew up in his hometown, matriculated from Sierra High School, then as early as 2008, he launched his career by auditioning for the TV series “American Idol”, eventually reaching the semi-finals, performing such songs as “Proud Mary” by Creedence Clearwater Revival, “When I Need You” by Albert Hammond, and Gloria Jones’s “Tainted Love” among others. During his time in the talent show, he became extremely popular, mostly thanks to his flamboyant personality and flirtations with judges, particularly Simon Cowell. He was noticed by Rosie O’Donnell, who invited him to take part in her R Family Vacations cruise. He also made a guest appearance in “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.

Following his elimination, he started a YouTube channel and became a national sensation by assuming the drag character Adore Delano and Angel Baby. In 2009 he released his first single “24/7”, but continued developing his drag career by performing in several clubs in West Hollywood, and won a competition in drag against other performers in Micky’s club. He then took a part in Los Angeles Fashion Week in 2013 for Marco Marco, and then in 2014 made his first appearance in the “RuPaul’s Drag Race”, in which he finished third in the finals, losing to Bianca Del Rio, and Courtney Act, but adding to his net worth.

Adore then focused on his musical career, and in June 2014 released his first studio album “Till Death Do Us Party”, which reached No. 3 on the US Dance chart, promoting it by going on tour which lasted until mid- 2016. He also worked on his second album, released late in 2016, entitled “After Party”, which became a complete hit since it topped the US Dance chart, which certainly increased his net worth to a large degree. Most recently, he released his third album “Whatever”, in August 2017, however, it has so far failed to chart.

Most recently he sued his record label for under-payment of $2.5 million, but has received only around $300,000, which regardless added a substantial amount to his net worth.

Regarding his personal life, he came out as gay when he was only 12 years old. He speaks of himself as non-binary and considers gender as non-existent, just something so that people can be categorized and controlled.
