Who is Shelley Hennig?

American actress and model Shelley Catherine Hennig was born in Metairie, Louisiana USA, on 2 January 1987, meaning that her zodiac sign is Capricorn. She’s had roles in nearly 30 movies and TV series, and is perhaps best known for her debut film role playing of Blaire in the 2014 mystery horror thriller movie “Unfriended”, which Levan Gabriadze directed, and starred Courtney Halverson, Matthew Bohrer and Heather Sossaman. Education and early life

Shelley was raised in St. Rose, Louisiana alongside her brothers Glenn H. Hennig Jr. and Brad Joseph Hennig, by their father Glenn H. Hennig Sr. and mother Cathy Distefano Gosset. On 9 August 2001, Shelley’s 18-year-old brother Brad was killed by a drunk driver.

She grew up dreaming of becoming a famous model, and was persuaded by her high school friend to enter the Miss Louisiana Teen USA beauty pageant in November 2003, which she won. Shelley then went on to win the Miss Teen USA 2004 beauty pageant, and was awarded a one-year contract with the Trump Modeling Management, as well as a New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts scholarship.

Roles in TV series

Shelley made her debut TV series appearance in a 2004 episode of the popular drama “Passions”, but then spent the following six years focused on modelling, having no acting roles.

In 2011 and 2012, she portrayed Diana Meade in the popular fantasy horror drama “The Secret Circle”, created by Andrew Miller, and which starred Britt Robertson, Thomas Dekker and Phoebe Tonkin. In 2014, Shelley portrayed Debbie Galardi in the popular mystery horror thriller “Ouija”, which Stiles White wrote and directed, and which starred Daren Kagasoff, Ana Coto and Olivia Cooke. It tells the story of a group of friends who’ve awoken an ancient power through an Ouija board, and the film won a Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Worst Film.

Shelley could then have been seen appearing in the 2014 short musical “The Band Perry: Gentle on My Mind”, the 2015 family drama “About Scout”, and the 2016 romantic comedy drama “Summer of 8”.

The year 2017 saw her play Olivia Reed in the critically acclaimed crime thriller “Roman J. She met American actor Jay Kenneth Johnson while they were both shooting for the series “Days of Our Lives”, and they were in a relationship for five years; Jay has just 15 acting credits to his name, but has been starring in “Days of Our Lives” since 1999, appearing in more than 1,200 episodes.

Shelley then went on to date Ben McKenzie, a famous American actor who portrayed the lead character James Gordon in the critically acclaimed action crime series “Gotham”, which aired from 2014 to 2019. Shelley and Ben were together for only a couple of months.

There are rumors circulating the internet, claiming that Shelley’s also dated American actor Thomas Dekker, and a non-celebrity man Rasmus, but these haven’t been confirmed.

She seems to be unattached as of November 2022, hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.
