Who is Princess Love?

Princess Pilipina Love Norwood was born in Oakland, California USA, on 14 August 1984, making her zodiac sign Leo. She’s perhaps best known for her playing of Actress in the 2022 thriller movie “The Deadly Getaway”, directed by Charles Jones, and in which Princess starred alongside Jason Weaver and Jeff Logan; it follows Carol who’s helped release her robber husband Carter ‘Doc’ McCoy from jail, under the condition that he helps her rob a bank.

Princess is also known for being the wife of Ray J, a popular American singer and actor.

Education and early life

Princess was raised in Oakland by her African-American father Hugh Love, and Filipina mother whose name hasn’t been disclosed; Princess respects her parents’ privacy and thus hasn’t shared a lot about them, but it’s believed that her mother was a homemaker, and her father a businessman. Most people believe Princess is an only child, not having spoken of any siblings.

She grew up being focused on her studies, but still dreamed of becoming a famous model while attending an Oakland high school; Princess was physically quite active during her teenage years, as she played both volleyball and basketball for her school teams, and was also a member of the school’s drama club, appearing in many plays performed there.

She matriculated in 2002 and then began attending the Texas Southern University, from which she eventually transferred to the International Academy of Design and Technology, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2006.

TV appearances

Upon graduation, Princess moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and began working as a dancer in nightclubs; she was eventually spotted by a modelling scout, who helped her sign her first contract. Princess could then have been seen featured in a number of publications, including “Smooth Magazine”, and all this led to her being cast to star in the popular reality show “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” in 2014 through 2019. It also starred Princess’ husband Ray J and Moniece Slaughter, and follows the life of the hip hop elite from Hollywood, California; Princess also appeared in two episodes of the reality show “Love and Hip Hop: New York”, and the 2021 reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Secrets Unlocked”.

She appeared in many other shows in the 2010s. The year 2016 saw her make a guest appearance in the episode “Steve Harvey’s Interview with Ray J and Princess Love/Winner of the Fitness Face-Off” in the talk-show “Steve Harvey”, while the following year saw her work as a panelist in the episode “Stevie J vs Karlie Redd” of the game-show “Hip Hop Squares”.

In 2018, Princess was featured in the episode “April Ryan/Princess Love and Ray J” of the short talk-show “The Real”, and she appeared in an episode of the documentary series “Unsung Hollywood”, after which she made a guest appearance in the talk-shows “The Conversation”, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “VH1 Couples Retreat”.

Most recently, in 2021, Princess appeared in the episode “Ray J & Princess Love!” of the talk-show “The Wendy Williams Show”, and was featured in the TV special “2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted”.

Acting credits

Princess starred in the 2016 music video “Brandy: Beggin & Pleadin”, and in 2018, she played a supporting character in the short drama film “Raydemption Visual Album”, directed by Antonio R Ward Jr, and which starred DJ Cheese Burger, Game and Leli Hernandez. It follows the life of a fictional singer who’s been caught up in a sex scandal, and has to find a way to keep his family from falling apart.

In 2020, Princess appeared in the series “The Conversation”, and she’s currently shooting for the upcoming movies “The Microchip that Ruined Halloween” and “Camp Joy”.

She’s also a producer, having produced 10 episodes of the 2020 series “The Conversation”, and 21 episodes of the 2021 reality show “One Mo’ Chance”.

Love life and husband

Princess and Ray J began dating in March 2014, after they were introduced by a mutual friend at a party; Ray J had previously dated famous American social media personality and businesswoman Kimberly Noel ‘Kim’ Kardashian, from 2002 to 2006, while Princess dated famous American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. from 2012 to 2014.

Ray J and Princess became engaged in January 2015, and married in a large ceremony in August 2016, at the Cathedral of Saint Vibiana in Los Angeles; Princess gave birth to their daughter Melody Love on 22 May 2018, and their son Epik Ray followed on 7 January 2020.

In May 2020, Princess claimed that Ray J spent no time with her and their children, and thus filed for divorce, which is yet to be finalized.

Princess hasn’t mentioned other men whom she’s been with, she’s married to Ray J as of November 2022, but has filed for divorce, and they have two children together.

Princess is an Instagram star, as there are today close to four million people following her on the social media network, although she’s posted only close to 150 pictures and videos.
