Who is Philip DeFranco?
American YouTuber and social media star Philip James DeFranco was born as Philip James Franchini Jr. in New York City USA, on 1 December 1985, making his zodiac sign Sagittarius. He’s probably best known for his self-titled YouTube channel, which he launched on 16 September 2006, and which is today subscribed to by over 6.3 million people, while all its videos combined have been watched over 1.5 billion times, and which mostly feature him talking about all the important news in the entertainment industry and politics.
Education and early life
Philip and his younger sister Sabrina were raised in New York City by their father and stepmother, but he’s shared very little about them, because he respects their privacy; it’s known that Philip’s stepmother worked at a car dealership, while it’s believed that his father’s a real estate agent.
He grew up dreaming of becoming a famous movie director, but was also focused on his studies, wanting to pursue a college degree. Philip launched his first YouTube channel “The Philip DeFranco Show” on 16 September 2006, while attending East Carolina University; he mostly uploaded videos in which he talked about whatever he was interested in, and revealed that his influences were Vlogbrothers, Dane Cook and Ze Frank. Most of the videos which he’d uploaded in his first two years were deleted by March 2017, and Philip’s since renamed the channel to just “Philip DeFranco”.
He launched his second channel in 2007, “PhillyD” onto which he mostly uploaded videos which featured him talking about news, gossip and sex; the channel has now been deleted.
Philip’s currently running five channels, with his main channel being the above mentioned “Philip DeFranco”. He launched his second channel “PDS News Clips” on 13 April 2017, and it numbers nearly 250,000 subscribers, while all its videos combined have been watched over 70 million times; he mostly uploads news content onto this channel.

His #3 channel “DeFranco Does” was launched on 3 June 2019, and today numbers over 200,000 people subscribed to it, while all its videos combined have been watched more than 4.2 million times; he mostly uploads comedy content onto the channel.
Philip’s #4 channel “A Conversation With” was launched on 23 July 2019, and it currently numbers more than 270,000 people subscribed to it, and nearly 20 million views of its videos combined; most of these feature Philip interviewing celebrities and experts in various fields.
His #5 and final YouTube channel “A Conversation With Clips” was launched on 23 October 2019, and it’s only subscribed to by about 30,000 people, while all its videos combined have been watched over five million times, mostly the best parts of videos found on his #4 channel.

Philip’s built himself quite a follower base on his main YouTube channel, mainly because he enjoys sharing various news with his fans, and is also quite good at analyzing these; we’re about to mention his three most popular videos on the network, which have made attracted people to become his subscribers.
His #1 video “WOW… We Need To Talk About This…” has been viewed over six million times since 17 April 2017, and features him talking about the people who are behind the YouTube channel “DaddyofFive”.
His video #2 “DISGUSTING! Deleted Video Exposes HUGE Problem In DO5 YouTube Scandal” has been viewed more than 5.5 million times since 19 April 2017, and features Philip talking about the video which the user DO5 Mike Martin uploaded onto his channel, and which featured a young boy slapping a girl.
His #3 most watched video “Dr. Fauci Answers DeFranco’s Questions About Coronavirus | COVID-19 Facts With Fauci” has been viewed over 4.3 million times since 27 March 2020, and features Philip talking about coronavirus with US Chief Medical Officer Dr. Fauci.
