Karlie Lewis was born in New York City, USA, on 15 April 1974, although her age has been disputed, with various people claiming that she’s older than she claims to be – her zodiac sign is Aries, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress, rapper, model and TV personality, probably known best for starring in the reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” since it premiered in 2012. It today also stars Rasheeda and Mimi Faust, and follows the lives of several celebrities living in Atlanta, Georgia; the series has won one of the five awards for which it’s been nominated.
Early life and education
Karlie was raised in New York City alongside her sister Katrina Lewis, by their African-American father and Trinidadian mother; not a lot is known about Karlie’s family, as she respects their privacy, but it’s believed that her father was a businessman, and her mother a housewife.

Karlie spent the first 12 years of her life in both New York City and Trinidad, prior to settling in New York City in 1986. She enrolled at The Harlem School of the Arts in 1988, and it was during her four years there that she became interested in acting; Karlie was perhaps even more interested in modelling, and played various sports with her peers, believing that this would help her shape her figure, preparing for when it’s time to launch her modelling career.
Upon matriculating in 1992, Karlie enrolled at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1996.

Karlie made her debut film appearance in the 2000 comedy “How to Marry a Billionaire: A Christmas Tale”, and gained recognition in the following year, with her portrayal of one of the lead characters in the comedy “Black Spring Break 2: The Sequel”. Karlie starred as Sexy Girl in the 2010 short comedy “Hip-Hop Headstrong”, and in 2014 portrayed Rhonda in the romantic comedy “Top Five”, written and directed by Chris Rock, who also starred in it alongside Rosario Dawson and Gabrielle Union.

Karlie made her debut TV series appearance in the 2000 episode “The Road to Hell” of the action crime drama “18 Wheels of Justice”, and in 2001, she played Child Services Official in the episode “Simon” of the drama “Kate Brasher” – was created by Stephen Tolkin, starred Mary Stuart Masterson, Rhea Perlman and Hector Elizondo, and follows a single mother as she’s raising her two teenage boys in Los Angeles, California.
Karlie played a supporting character in the 2008 episode “The Big Screaming O” of the romantic drama “Zane’s Sex Chronicles”, and her following TV series role came in 2019, when cast to portray Vicki in the episode “Loose Lips” of the comedy “Last Call”.
Since 2016, she’s been starring as Paige Morris in the drama “Saints& Sinners”, created by Ty Scott and Ri-Karlo Handy, and which also stars Vanessa Bell Calloway and Clifton Powell.
