Who is Geffri Hightower?

American actress Geffri Maya Hightower was born in Los Angeles, California USA, on 25 February 1995, making Pisces her zodiac sign. She’s probably known best for playing Maya Bennett in the romantic comedy series “Private Practice”, created by Shonda Rhimes, and which starred Kate Walsh, Paul Adelstein and KaDee Strickland. It’s a spin-off from the popular series “Grey’s Anatomy”, aired from 2007 through 2013, and won 11 of its 32 award nominations.

Education and early life

Geffri was raised in Los Angeles by her mother and father about whom she hasn’t talked in public, because they prefer to maintain their privacy; it’s believed that her father’s an engineer, and her mother a housewife. In 2017, she portrayed Eufaula in the crime drama “Shots Fired”, created by Reggie Rock Bythewood and Gina Prince-Bythewood, and which starred Sanaa Lathan, Stephan James and Stephen Moyer; the series follows the police investigating two racially charged shootings, and it won two of its 13 award nominations.

The following year saw Geffri star as Kevin-Rose Hankins in the comedy “The Pre-Quarter Life Crisis”, which also starred Taylor Polidore and Donny Carrington, and follows the life of college graduate Theia LeRoux who’s dreaming of becoming a fashion magazine editor. Geffri could then have been seen appearing in an episode of a couple of series, including the comedy mini-series “East of La Brea”, the comedy “WTF, Baron Davis” and another comedy “Black-ish”.

From 2019 through 2022, Geffri starred as Simone Hicks in the sports drama “All American”, which also starred Samantha Logan and Daniel Ezra, and was created by April Blair. It follows the life of a high school Football Player, and the series won one of the nine awards for which it was nominated. Concurrently, in 2021, she played Khadijah Brown in the hit crime drama “Snowfall”.

Since 2022, Geffri’s been reprising her role as Simone Hicks in the sequel “All American: Homecoming”, which follows the lives of a college baseball player and a tennis player.

Love life and boyfriend

Geffri hasn’t spoken of the men whom she’s maybe dated, and this has caused some of her fans to think that she’s lesbian, believing this to be the reason behind her shying away from sharing the details of her love life with her fans.

She’s uploaded a couple of pictures onto her Instagram account, which feature her spending time with a mysterious American non-celebrity woman; it’s believed that this is Geffri’s girlfriend, but no evidence has been provided to support these claims.
