Eduardo Franco was born on 11 November 1995, in Yuma, Arizona, USA, the son of Mexican parents, with his father a businessman and his mother a homemaker. However, growing up with five siblings was rather challenging for him, as his parents couldn’t provide for the entire family.
He realized that his parents couldn’t afford his studies, and he even had to contribute to the family budget once he was old enough to work. However, he has stated that his parents were emotionally supportive of his career, and encouraged him to pursue his dreams.

Eduardo launched his career in 2015, with the role of Stu in the TV comedy series “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything”. The series follows a teenage professional video gamer, Conor, who after a thumb injury, is forced to let go of a professional career, and starts going to school. The series is full of misadventures, as Conor visualizes life as a video game. It starred Cameron Boyce, Felix Avitia and Murray Wyatt Rundus. Despite receiving high praise, the series was canceled after two seasons, during which Eduardo appeared in seven.
Concurrently he was Justin in the TV series “You’re the Worst”, and Jose in the TV mini-series “The Skinny”. Moreover, in 2015 he appeared in four episodes of the award-winning TV comedy series “Adam Ruins Everything”, starring Adam Conover, Adam Lustick and Emily Axford.
He had a very hectic schedule in 2017, as he appeared in several projects. He starred in the short-drama film “Plea”, next to Kyle Isao and Kate Morgan Chadwick, written and directed by Joseph Oppenheimer. The following year, Eduardo co-starred in the award-winning thriller-comedy film “The Package”, with Danie Doheny, Geraldine Viswanathan and Sadie Calvano in the lead roles, about a group of teenage friends who race against time to save one of their friends’ most prized possession.
In 2019, Franco starred as Theo in the BAFTA-nominated comedy film “Booksmart”, about two nerdy teenage girls who realize that they should have partied more during their high school yers, and on the eve of their high-school matriculation, decide to compensate for the lost year and have the best night of their lives. Directed by Olivia Wilde, the film received positive reviews and won numerous awards, which helped Eduardo’s career.
Rise to Stardom
The same year, he co-starred in the television movie “Masters of Doom”, alongside Siobhan Williams and Peter Friedman. Moreover, he had a supporting role in the television comedy movie “Labeled”, with Reyn Beeler, Zack Bernstein and Karan Brar.

The following year, Eduardo had a minor role in the comedy-crime film “Queenpins”, written and directed by Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly, about two housewives who create a $40 million coupon scam, starring Kristen Bell, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Paul Walter Hauser. Then he portrayed Mike in the comedy-drama film “We Broke Up”, which follows the couple who broke up before a wedding ceremony of the girl’s sister, and still decided to go to the wedding together, pretending they were still together.
