A popular YouTuber and social media star, Mike Castillo, better known online as RunikTV or just Runik, was born under the zodiac sign of Capricorn on 3 January 1998; although he hasn’t disclosed his birthplace, it’s known that he was born in the USA, thus he holds American nationality, and his ethnicity is of mixed African-American and Latino descent. He rose to stardom thanks to his YouTube videos featuring pranks, challenges, reviews and vlogs.
Early life, family, and education
Runik hasn’t spoken much about his family – although his parents have been featured in some of his videos, their names and occupations stayed unrevealed.
He has an older sister whose name is unknown but his brother’s name is Homer, and the two were seen in his videos, too.
Homer is a video editor, and there were some videos about him being arrested, however, it seems that the video was another Runik’s prank.
According to sources, Runik attended a high school in Louisiana, USA, then upon matriculating in 2016, he didn’t enroll at college but pursued his YouTube career.
YouTube career
RunikTV launched his self-titled YouTube channel on 25 February 2015, and it’s today subscribed to by 1.75 million people, while all of his videos combined have gained over 225 million views.
He posted his first video on 31 August 2017, entitled “Runik Cancer Journey (8-30-2017)”, which has been viewed nearly 300,000 times, in which he talked about his cancer and had chemotherapy, sharing with his subscribers that he’s now cancer-free. In early 2017, Runik was diagnosed with diffuse large B cell lymphoma, a type of a chest cancer, and started his chemotherapy on 5 June 2017. Since his family wasn’t financially stable, he asked for help through GoFundMe.
On 26 September 2017, he posted a ‘Question & Answer’ video in which he shared everything that he was going through, from the day he found out that he was sick to the day when he beat cancer, saying that the support which he had from his followers meant a lot to him.
As mentioned, most of Runik’s videos are featuring funny pranks but you can also see some comedic skits, reaction videos, stories, and other interesting content.
His number one most viewed video “Lacing Trey PRANK on Ar’mon & FunnyMike *VERYFUNNY” was posted on 14 September 2017, and has amassed over 4.5 million views, and as the title of the video says, it’s a prank featuring RunikTV’s friend, MacArthur Johnson, better known online as FunnyMike, also a famous YouTuber.
The second most viewed video on the RunikTV channel “ABUSIVE BOYFRIEND PRANK ON FUNNYMIKE!! *WILD!” was posted on 4 November 2017, and has been viewed over four million times, while it had nearly 5,000 comments.
Third on RunikTV’s list of most viewed videos is “I’M PREGNANT BY YOUR FRIEND PRANK!! ON KING W/ NIQUE & FUNNYMIKE” was uploaded on 15 November 2017, and has amassed over three million views, and nearly 50,000 likes. It was a collaboration video with his friends, Nique and King, who are also YouTubers, and they have their joint channel.
Presence on social media platforms
Runik is active on his Instagram account, which has been followed by over 1.5 million people, and on which he’s posted over 200 photos and videos, mostly featuring his everyday life and his promotion photos since he has a partnership with the brand Novaman.
His Twitter account, established in April 2013, has amassed over 70,000 followers, and he’s tweeted nearly 4,000 times, mostly about his work and life.

The official Facebook page run by himself has gained over 50,000 fans, while he also had a Snapchat account which is currently defunct.
Love life and relationships
There are various rumors concerning Runik’s love life, however, most of his girlfriends were featured in his videos, and some of them have also become YouTubers.
One of his ex-girlfriends is Hali, known online as NU, who posted a video on 23 September 2018, explaining why she broke up with Runik, saying that he told her to leave the apartment where they lived together, also saying that he was possessive and jealous for no reason.
Runik was thren in a relationship with a girl named Taylor, who was also featured in his videos, however, his longest relationship was with Sierra Renea, better known online as ‘sierraslaays’, social media and TikTok star.
The two started dating sometime in 2020, and soon established their joint YouTube channel entitled “RS Family”, where they’ve been posting videos featuring their pranks on each other, some vlogs, and their music videos.
In May 2021, the two became parents to their baby boy, named Ressiah Divine Castillo, and although everything seemed great, in December 2021, Sierra went public with an allegation of violence against Runik, saying that she can’t be silent anymore and pretend in front of the cameras that they have a healthy relationship.
She shared with her followers that when she was pregnant with their son, he was cheating on her, and when she confronted him about it, he allegedly hit her in the stomach.
On her Instagram, she posted a video featuring photos of injuries to her body, which Runik allegedly caused; there were photos of bruises on her arms and stomach, but he denied these allegations.
He posted videos on his Instagram and YouTube channel in which was seen that they were together the night before she accused him of abuse, and that she hit him with a pillow, and then he showed bruises on his body, allegedly caused by Sierra.
As of March 2022, they have separated but they both take care of their son, according to their photos on social media networks.
Jail
On 25 September 2019, Runik was arrested while he was filming a music video alongside 14 other males – according to the police report, an anonymous person called 911, saying that a group of men was waving their guns on the street, and soon police arrived and arrested them.
Some of them were juveniles and were released, while the others were accused of possessing stolen firearms and drugs, while Runik was booked on an active warrant for home invasion and disturbing the peace, but was released the day after.
However, it seems that his problems with the law didn’t end here, since on 10 March 2022, he uploaded a video entitled “I GOT PUT ON HOUSE ARREST, What Happened Is Shocking!”, and explained that he was accused of disturbing the peace, because when he was filming one of his prank videos in which he was screaming in a restaurant toilet, one of the workers called police, who put him under house arrest.

Runik’s age is 24, he has brown hair and brown eyes; he weighs around 176lbs (80kgs) and is 5ft 10ins (1.77m) tall.
As of March 2022, his net worth has been estimated at $500,000, while he has a minimum income of $1,500 per month from his YouTube channel.
