Angelle was born in Miami, Florida USA, on 11 August 1967 – her zodiac sign is Leo, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress and former model, with close to 50 acting credits to her name, perhaps still known best for her portrayal of Judge Carla Williams in the 2001 comedy movie “The Brothers”. It was written and directed by Gary Hardwick, starred Morris Chestnut, Shemar Moore and D. K. Hughey, and follows four friends who have begun questioning relationships and women, now that one of them is about to marry; the movie won one of the nine awards for which it was nominated.

Some people believe that Angelle has quit the film industry, however, she’s still acting today, and has recently finished shooting for the upcoming fantasy movie “The Accompanist”.

Early life and education

Angelle was raised in Miami alongside her three siblings, by their parents about whom nothing’s known, as Angelle respects their privacy; it’s believed that her father was a firefighter, and that her mother was employed at an animal shelter.

Angelle became interested in acting while attending a local high school, and started appearing in school plays after she was urged to do so by her drama teacher. She matriculated in 1985, and although she hasn’t spoken of her further education, most of her fans believe that she attended college, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1989; she also practiced acting at The Beverly Hills Playhouse.

Angelle worked a couple of jobs in the following five years, prior to launching her acting career.

Angelle made her debut TV series appearance in the 1994 episode “Next Stop Bottom” of the hit comedy “The Larry Sanders Show”, and the following years saw her appear in an episode or two of various series, such as the mystery crime drama “NYPD Blue”, the comedy “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and the romantic comedy drama “Martin”.

In 1996 and 1997, she played Holly Brooks in the comedy “Malcolm & Eddie”, created by Joel Madison, and which starred Eddie Griffin, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Karen Malina White. It follows two roommates and best friends who are the exact opposites, but still manage to function together; the series was nominated for three awards. Angelle appeared in a couple of other series in the remainder of the ’90s, including the comedy “The Parent ‘Hood”, another comedy “The Wayans Bros.” and the comedy drama “The Jamie Foxx Show”.

Between 1998 and 2002, she starred as Maxine de la Cruz in the action crime comedy “V. I. P.”, created by J. F. Lawton, and which starred Pamela Anderson, Molly Culver and Shaun Baker. It follows Vallery Irons Protection, a group of five people who are VIP bodyguards, and the series won one of the five awards for which it was nominated, including a Primetime Emmy nomination. Angelle voiced Indira ‘Indy’ Daimonji in the 2003 animated action adventure “Spider-Man”, and the 2000s also saw her appear in the 2004 episode “Selective Breeding” of the drama “Strong Medicine”, and the 2006 episode “Luxury Lounge” of the crime drama “The Sopranos”.

These are Angelle’s most recent TV series roles, as she has since been focused on appearing solely in movies.

Angelle made her debut film appearance in the 1996 action thriller “One Tough Bastard”, while a couple of her following roles were in the 1996 science fiction drama “Last Exit to Earth”, the 1996 drama “Riot” and the 1997 thriller drama “In Dark Places”.

The year 1998 saw her star alongside James Black in the thriller “Cappuccino”, written and directed by Craig Ross Jr., and which follows the journalist Victor who has begun cheating on his wife Vanessa with the married woman whom he calls Cappuccino.

In 2000, Angelle played Teresa in the drama “Ritual”, and the same year saw her star as Jessica Saunders, in the comedy “Midnight Blue”; a couple of her most notable roles in the 2000s were in the 2001 crime drama “Blue Hill Avenue”, the 2003 action crime drama “Black Listed”, and the 2005 short comedy “Can I Get a Pickle?”

In 2011, Angelle appeared in the crime thriller “Carjacked”, directed by John Bonito, and which starred Maria Bello Stephen Dorff and Connor Hill. It follows a mother and her son, who have been carjacked by a bank robber.

Three of her most recent film roles have been in the 2018 short action comedy “The Stand Up Hitman”, the 2019 musical fantasy drama “The Accompanist” and the 2020 thriller “Killer in Suburbia”.
