American actress and singer Alison Luff was born under the zodiac sign Sagittarius on 20 December 1988, in Spring, Texas USA. She has four acting credits and is perhaps known best for playing one of the main characters, Staci Spade in 16 episodes of the sports series “Heels”, created by Michael Waldron, and which also starred Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig. It follows the lives of two brothers and their rivalry, the series aired from 2021 through 2023 and was nominated for five awards.
Those from California and New York might know Alison better for her stage career; her two most popular roles have been playing Jenna in a Broadway production of “Waitress” and Elphaba in “Wicked”.

Alison was six when she joined Encore Youth Performers, and it was with the troupe that she honed her dance and singing skills; it was a year later that she started appearing in plays performed at a community theatre, and was just 10 when she became a professional actress.

In 2014, Alison played Fantine in the historical drama “Les Miserables: The Broadway Musical”, directed by Laurence Connor, and which starred Will Swenson, Ramin Karimloo and Caissie Levy; it’s a filmed version of the revived Broadway musical.
The year 2019 saw her play Sam Chapman in the episode “Identity Crisis” of the popular crime action series “FBI”, created by Dick Wolf and Craig Turk back in 2018, and which today stars Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki and Jeremy Sisto. It follows the work of the FBI in New York City, and the series has won three of its four award nomination.
Alison’s only other TV credit has been playing Alice Healy in six episodes (2020) of the drama “New Amsterdam”, which aired from 2018 through 2023, and starred Jocko sims, Ryan Eggold and Janet Montgomery. It follows a new medical director as he’s trying to change the system at one of the oldest public hospitals in the USA, and the series won six of the 12 awards for which it was nominated.

Theatre roles
It was in 2011 that Alison made her Broadway debut, portraying both Sophie and Ali in a production of the jukebox musical “Mamma Mia!”; she left the cast in January 2012 and went on to appear in the Broadway play “Scandalous”, portraying Aimee Elizabeth Semple McPherson, which had previously been portrayed by American actress Carolee Ann Carmello.
Alison could then have been seen starring as Molly in a Broadway production of the musical “Ghost”, while her character had previously been portrayed by Caissie Levy.
She began portraying Elphaba with the 1st National Tour in the musical “Wicked” on 30 April 2013; her final portrayal of the character was on 20 April 2014, when Alison was replaced by Emma Hunton.
For a year starting on 6 September 2014, Alison portrayed Miss Honey in a Broadway production of “Matilda”; some of her following Broadway roles were in “Breaking Through”, “Les Miserables” and “Escape to Margaritaville”.

It’s widely known that she’s today married to Matthew Magnusson, an American actor and screenwriter with 20 acting credits to his name, probably known best for playing Jason in the 2016 mystery science fiction horror movie “The Dark Tapes”. The two exchanged vows on 12 November 2016, and just recently, on 6 January 2024, Alison gave birth to their son Levi Stone Magnusson. The boy was born via waterbirth and Alison revealed on her Instagram account that he weighed 7lbs (3.2kgs) and was 1ft 8ins (0.5m) tall; she also shared a picture of the newborn.
We don’t know about other men whom Alison’s perhaps dated; she’s married to Matthew Magnusson as of January 2024 and they have a son together.
