Who is Zach Woods?

American actor, screenwriter, producer, director and comedian Zachary ‘Zach’ Woods, was born in Trenton, New Jersey USA, on 25 September 1984, meaning that his zodiac sign is Libra. He’s had roles in over 50 movies and TV series, and is perhaps still best known for his playing of Douglas in the 2010 action crime comedy movie “The Other Guys”, which Adam McKay wrote and directed, and starred Derek Jeter, Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. It follows two police officers from New York City who want to become the best detectives, and the movie won three of its 18 award nominations.

Education and early life

Zach was raised in Yardley, Pennsylvania by his Jewish parents; his mother’s a retired nurse, while his father’s a retired psychiatrist specialized in clinical therapy. Zach has a younger sister and an older brother, but not a lot about them is known, as Zach prefers to keep them away from the media’s attention.

He fell in love with acting when he was 13 years old, after attending summer camp at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan. Zach studied at Pennsbury High School and was passionate about a number of things during his teenage years, including acting with the school’s drama club, playing soccer, and practicing creative writing.

Zach’s debut TV series role was his playing of Geets Wilson in a 2005 episode of the short comedy “My Wife, the Ghost”, and the remainder of the 2000s saw him appear in an episode of the short comedy “Sexual Intercourse: American Style”, another short comedy “Mister Glasses”, and the short romantic comedy “The Office: The 3rd Floor”.

Zach became somewhat famous after he portrayed Gabe Lewis in 51 episodes of one of the most popular comedy series of all time: “The Office” (2010-2013). He loves to dress up for Halloween, and also enjoys doing cosplay.

Zach’s a fan of animated movies, and prefers them over live-action; some of his favorites are “From Up on Poppy Hill”, “Castle in the Sky” and “Despicable Me”. Some of his favorite Hollywood actors are the late Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman and Jim Carrey, and a couple of his favorite films are “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn”, “Old Dogs” and “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb”.
