Rachael Elaine Harris was born in Worthington, Ohio USA, on 12 January 1968 – her zodiac sign is Capricorn, and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress and comedienne, with more than 120 acting credits to her name, perhaps still known best for her portrayal of Melissa in the 2009 comedy movie “The Hangover”, directed by Todd Phillips, and which starred Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Justin Bartha; it follows three friends who have woken up after a bachelor party in Las Vegas, Nevada, and have no memory of what had happened the night before. The movie won 13 of the 39 awards for which it was nominated, including a BAFTA nomination.

Although there are today rumors circulating the internet claiming that Rachel has retired from acting, she’s still quite active in the film industry, and is currently shooting for the upcoming movie “Old Dads”.
Early life and education
Rachael was raised in Worthington by her mother Nancy Lee (nee Hopkins) and father Richard Kent Harris; not a lot is known about Richard and Nancy, as Rachael respects their privacy, but it’s believed that they ran their own small company. Because Rachael hasn’t mentioned having any siblings, most of her fans believe her to be an only child.
She became interested in acting at a quite an early age, and appeared in a couple of plays performed at her elementary school, however, Rachael was urged by her parents to focus on education, and perhaps pursue acting after graduation.
She studied at Worthington High School, at which she was interested in various activities, including playing several sports, practicing dancing and learning to play the guitar. Upon matriculating in 1986, Rachael enrolled at Otterbein College, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre in 1989.

Rachael made her debut film appearance in the 1992 musical “Treehouse Trolls Forest of Fun and Wonder”; her only other three movie roles in the ‘90s were in the 1995 crime drama “Cellblock Sisters: Banished Behind Bars”, the 1996 comedy “The Disappearance of Kevin Johnson”, and the 1998 comedy drama “The Week That Girl Died”.
She gained recognition in 2000, when cast to play Winky’s Party Guest in the comedy “Best in Show”, written and directed by Christopher Guest, and which starred Fred Willard, Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara. Shown through the eyes of several dog owners, the movie follows the world of competitive dog shows, and won 11 of the 25 awards for which it was nominated. Some of Rachael’s following roles were in the 2001 comedy drama “The Gristle”, and in 2002 the action crime comedy “Showtime” and the animated adventure comedy “Stuart Little 2” (voice role).
What marked the 2000s for Rachael was perhaps her portrayal of Ark Reporter in the 2007 family fantasy comedy “Evan Almighty”, directed by Tom Shadyac, and which starred Steve Carell, Morgan Freeman and Lauren Graham; it follows Congressman Evan Baxter who has been contacted by God, and is now building an ark because God has told him a flood is coming. The movie won two of the 13 awards for which it was nominated.
In 2011, Rachael played Susan Heffley in the family comedy “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules”, and she voiced Deanna in the critically acclaimed animated action comedy “Wreck-It Ralph”.
Three of Rachael’s most recent movie roles have been in the comedy “Brother Nature” and the romantic comedy “Stars in Shorts: No Ordinary Love” both in 2016, and the 2019 comedy “International Falls”.

Rachael made her debut TV series appearance in the 1993 episode “Treasures of the Tonga Trench” of the family action adventure “Sea Quest 2032”, and the remainder of the ‘90s saw her appear in an episode or two of various series, including the action science fiction adventure “Star Trek: Voyager”, and the family comedy drama “Sister, Sister”.
She gained recognition with her portrayal of Kevyn Shecket, one of the lead characters in the 2005 comedy “Fat Actress”, created by Kirstie Alley, who also starred in it alongside Rachael and Bryan Callen. Rachael and Adam didn’t have children together, and they divorced on 21 May 2008.
She married her second husband, American violinist and songwriter Christian Hebel, in New York City on 30 April 2015, and they have two children together, named Otto and Henry Harris Hebel. Rachael and Christian divorced in December 2020.
Rachael hasn’t mentioned any other men whom she has perhaps been with, so as of June 2022, she seems to be single, has been married twice, and has two children with her second husband Christian Hebel.
Hobbies and other interests
Rachael seems to be enjoying the attention which she’s receiving from her close to 900,000 Instagram followers; she’s uploaded over 1,200 pictures onto the network, the majority of which feature her during her everyday life.
Rachael has multiple training sessions at the gym every week, mostly because it’s important for her acting career to stay in shape; she’s also following a strict diet, and avoids eating fast food and sweets.
