Who is Necar Zadegan?
When the psychological thriller “Unthinkable” was released in May 2010, besides the lead actors such as Samuel L. Jackson, Carrie-Anne Moss and Michael Sheen, one actress particularly caught the eye of the audience, and not just because of her versatile acting, but also because of her exotic look. She portrayed the character of Jehan Younger, and after the premiere of the movie, people wanted to know more about her. Necar was born under the zodiac sign of Gemini on 20 June 1982, in Heidelberg, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, but was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, California USA, thus she holds both German and American nationality; she comes from a family of Iranian descent.
She hasn’t spoken much about her childhood and parents, so little is known about them except that they are both Iranian emigrants. Necar made her acting debut in an episode of the series “The Bernie Mac Show” in 2005, and next was seen as Nastran in “Nip/Tuck” in 2006, while in the following year, she guest-starred in “NCIS”, “The Unit” and “How I Met Your Mother”.
In 2008, she was in an episode of the series’ “Lost” and “The Shield”, before she was cast to play Caroline in “Floored and Lifted” in 2009, followed by her role as Dalia Hasan in “24” in 2010, and in the same year starred in “Outlaw” and “The Event”. In the following year, she was cast to play Doctor Gina Bandari in “Emily Owens M.D.”, and then two years later she portrayed Scarlet Leon in “Rake”, concurrently playing the role of Ana Paulanos in “Legends”, before cast to play one of her most notable roles to date, as Delia in “Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce”, from 2014 until 2018.
Simultaneously, Necar was seen in “Extant” (2015), “Here and Now” and “The Good Doctor”in 2018, while from 2018 until 2021, she portrayed Special Agent Hannah Khoury in the series “NCIS: New Orleans”. Her most recent television role was her portrayal of Evelyn Foley in “Mayor of Kingstown”, from 2021 until 2022.

She is quite secretive when it comes to her personal life – back in 2008, rumors were saying that she secretly married her then-fiancé, Gadi Erel, also an actor who now goes by the name Daniel Gadi, and is perhaps known best for his role as Efim in “Joshua Tree”. However, this was approven to be false, and eventually the two separated. Since then, Necar hasn’t been seen publicly with any man with whom she might be romantically linked, so as of June 2022, it’s assumed that Necar is single, she was engaged once but she hasn’t been married, and doesn’t have children.
