Career as an actress
While she was in high school, Julia appeared in some school plays, and her teachers recognized her talent for acting, so it’s not a surprise that she was the chosen one from hundreds of girls who auditioned for the movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.
Julia portrayed Veronica Salt, harsh and greedy, a spoiled brat (opposite to what she is in real life), which confirmed her acting skills; her character was central in the story, and after the movie was released, she received great reviews from critics.
The movie “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” was based on the novel of the same title written by Roald Dahl, screenplay written by John August, and directed by Tim Burton. It is a story about a boy named Charlie who would every day on his way to school pass by the big chocolate factory, which belongs to Willy Wonka, who was portrayed by Johnny Depp.
One day Charlie won a golden ticket to tour the magical and mysterious chocolate factory, and with four other children his adventure in the factory began – the only thing Willy Wonka was expecting of them, was to follow the rules and to behave well. Julia’s character Veronica Salt was extremely spoiled so she is used to getting everything she wanted, in one moment she tries to seize a trained squirrel to have for herself, however, she was recognized as a bad nut and was tossed down in a garbage chute. At the end, the boy Charlie who was portrayed by Freddie Highmore gets the factory as a present for his good behavior.
In 2014, there were rumors that Julia was going to act in the movie “Dolphin Tale 2”, however, that was a misunderstanding, because the dolphin from the movie was named Winter.
Julia appeared in an episode of the series “Dick & Dom in da Bungalow”, a British children’s television series, and this was her last appearance in the film industry.
In the following years, Julia didn’t pursue her acting career, but returned to her hometown to continue her education.
Love life, and relationships
Julia has been keeping her private life away from the public, and there is no information about her love life and any relationships.
During the shooting for her only movie, she was a 12 years old girl, so at that time, her love life wasn’t an appropriate subject.
It’s assumed that nowadays, as a grown-up, she may have a relationship with someone around her, or perhaps she has devoted her time entirely to studying.
There were various rumors that included her sexual orientation, however, she hasn’t spoken about those assumptions, so as of October 2021, Julia seems to be single, hasn’t been married, and doesn’t have children.
Hobbies, and other interests
Julia’s favorite hobby is horseback riding, which she learned when she was a young girl, and she also likes swimming and playing tennis.
In her spare time she enjoys listening to music and playing piano – her favorite classic composers are Franz Schubert and Johan Sebastian Bach.

She likes to attend theater plays, and also prefers watching movies in the cinema, rather than at home; her favorite genres are romantic comedy, historical drama, and old classic movies, and her favorite films are “The Notebook”, “When Harry met Sally”, “The Wizard of Oz”, and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.
Julia takes care of her body – she loves gymnastics she also does aerobics, and when she wants to relax she practices yoga.

When it comes to her dream travel destination, that is Munich, Germany where shooting for the 1971 movie “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” took place.
Julia has no social media accounts, and she seems to be completely out of media, however, she is still a great friend with one of the cast members from the movie, AnnaSophia Robb, who was cast to play Violet Beauregarde, one of the lucky winners of a golden ticket.
