Who is Constance Zimmer?

American actress, movie producer and director Constance Zimmer, was born in Seattle, Washington State USA, on 11 October 1970, meaning that her zodiac sign’s Libra. She’s had roles in close to 100 movies and TV series, and is perhaps best known for her playing of Quinn King in the popular drama series “UnREAL”, which Sarah Gertrude Shapiro and Marti Noxon created, and which starred Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Craig Bierko and Shiri Appleby. It follows the lives of producers of a dating competition show, the series aired from 2015 to 2018, and won five of its 28 award nominations.

Education and early life

Constance was raised in Seattle by her German migrant parents Gunter Zimmer and Ingrid Mueller as their only child; the family spent half of their summer every year in Germany, which is why Constance is today fluent in German.

She was a high school student when she joined her school’s drama club, and fell in love with acting. Constance appeared in a number of school plays during those four years, and was also physically highly active, as she ran track, and played both volleyball and tennis.

She matriculated in 1989 and then honed her acting skills at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Roles in movies

Constance’s debut film role was her playing of Girl in Line in the 1993 comedy “The Day My Parents Ran Away”, while some of her following roles were in the horror thriller “Quicksilver Highway” and the short comedy “Fyre Ants Rock” both in 1997, and the 1998 romantic comedy “Senseless”.

The year 2002 saw her play Assistant Kelly in the crime drama “Home Room”, written and directed by Paul F. Ryan, and which starred Busy Philipps, Erika Christensen and Victor Garber. It follows the aftermath of a high school shooting, and the movie won two of its three award nominations. Constance could then have been seen portraying supporting characters in the 2002 drama “Homeward Bound”, the 2004 romantic comedy “Cooking Lessons”, and the 2005 short drama “Just Pray”.

In 2009, she was cast to star as Payroll Employee in the short drama “Shotgun”, which follows the lives of three aging men and their friendship, and the year 2011 saw her play Elizabeth Holland in the comedy “Demoted”. In 2016, she portrayed Lola, one of the lead characters in the drama “Run the Tide”, directed by Soham Mehta, and which also starred Taylor Lautner and Nico Christou. It follows Rey who’s kidnapped his younger brother, wanting to run away from their mother who’s just been released from jail; the movie won one of its four award nominations.

Constance has since had only one film role: she voiced Veronica Cale in the 2019 animated action fantasy “Wonder Woman: Bloodlines”, which was nominated for a Motion Picture Sound Editors’ Golden Reel Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Sound Effects.

Roles in TV series

Constance made her debut TV series appearance in the 1994 episode “The Quality of Mercy” of the action adventure “Babylon 5”, and the remainder of the decade saw her make an appearance in an episode of many series, such as the comedy “Jenny”, the crime mystery “Diagnosis Murder” and the drama “Beverly Hills, 90210”.

From 2002 through 2004, Constance starred as Penny Barnes Barrington in the comedy “Good Morning, Miami”, created by David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, and which also starred Mark Feuerstein and Ashley Williams. It follows a young TV producer who’s come to Miami to help the worst rated morning show in Florida, and the series won an ASCAP Film and Television Music Award for Top TV Series. In 2006, Constance starred as Brianna in all the 13 episodes of the crime drama “In Justice”, and then in 2007 played Claire Simms in 23 episodes of the crime comedy “Boston Legal”.

From 2014 through 2017, Constance voiced Strongarm and Matronly Docent in the animated action adventure “Transformers: Robots in Disguise”, created by Adam Beechen and Duane Capizzi, and which starred Khary Payton, Mitchell Whitfield and Will Friedle. Love life and husband

Constance has married twice. Her first husband was American make-up artist and costume designer Steve Johnson, who’s probably still best known for having worked in the make-up department of the 1995 action science fiction horror movie “Species”, and the 2002 action science fiction horror film “Blade II”. Constance and Steve married in 1999, but divorced two years later.

She wed American screenwriter, producer and director Russ Lamoureux on 9 October 2010, having given birth to their daughter Colette Zoe Lamoureux nearly three years earlier, on 5 January 2008. Russ is perhaps best known for his directing of the 2009 short movie “Shotgun” and the 2017 short film “Underwater”.

Constance hasn’t spoken of other men whom she’s dated, and she’s married to her second husband Russ Lamoureux as of December 2022, and they have a daughter together.

Constance loves to craft things at her home, and has sold some of her handmade greeting cards, candles and jewelry.

She’s worked with a number of charity organizations, perhaps mostly with those that aim to help people suffering from HIV and AIDS.
