Who is Griffin Santopietro?
American actor Griffin Santopietro was born under the zodiac sign Capricorn on 5 January 2005, in Portland, Oregon USA. He has 13 acting credits and is perhaps known best for playing Anthony LaRusso in 26 episodes of the popular action comedy series “Cobra Kai”, which was created by Jon Hurwitz and Josh Heald, and starred Courtney Henggeler, William Zabka and Ralph Macchio. It follows Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso who’ve found themselves rivals again as adults, the series aired from 2018 through 2023, and won four of its 67 award nominations.

Early life and education
Griffin was raised in Connecticut alongside his two brothers, by their parents whom he prefers to keep away from media; it’s believed that Griffin’s father’s a businessman and his mother a talent agent, although this remains unconfirmed. It’s known that Griffin’s brother Max is a musician.

Griffin’s debut film role was playing Jeddy in the 2018 comedy “The Week Of”, which starred Steve Buscemi, Chris Rock and Adam Sandler, and was written and directed by Robert Smigel; it follows two fathers with opposing personalities as they’re celebrating their children’s wedding together.
Also in 2018, Griffin played Tommy in the action family adventure “The Rack Pack”, which starred Hunter Lee Manning, Nico Ford and C. Thomas Howell, and was written and directed by Thomas J. Churchill. It follows a group of military children as they’re playing in the woods, while one of their fathers has now been kidnapped.

The year 2020 saw Griffin star as Maz in the short drama “Soft”, and the year 2022 saw him play Carey in the musical “I’m Not Gay”. Also in 2022, he portrayed Eric in the horror “Terrifier 2”, which starred Elliott Fullam, David Howard Thornton and Lauren LaVera, and was written and directed by Damien Leorie. It follows Art the Clown who’s been resurrected and has returned to haunting teenage girls and boys of Miles County; the film won five of its 14 award nominations.
Griffin’s only other film role has been playing Carey in the 2023 drama “I’m Not Gay: A Musical”, written and directed by Scott L. Semer, and which starred Manuel Herrera, Alan Mingo Jr. and Sydney James Harcourt. It follows a compulsive MMA fighter who’s come to Fire Island and is pretending to be gay so that he’ll be allowed to buy a house there.
Roles in TV series
In 2019, Griffin played Young Fran in the episode “Kimmy Finds a Liar!” of the critically acclaimed comedy “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”, which was created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock starred Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski and Ellie Kemper. It follows a woman from New York City who’s just been saved from a doomsday cult, the series aired from 2015 through 2020, and won 24 of its 121 award nominations.
Also in 2019, Griffin played James Donovan in the episode “The Flying Carpet” of the crime comedy “Bull”, and the year 2021 saw him appear in the episode “Cobra Kai, Netflix, Drama Club and Nick!” of the drama “The Badass Babes of Entertainment”.
Griffin’s only other TV series role has been playing Linus Wilding in a 2021 episode of the drama “New Amsterdam”, which starred Jocko Sims, Janet Montgomery and Ryan Eggold, and follows a man who’s become the new director of the oldest public hospital in the USA; the series aired from 2018 through 2023 and won six of its 12 award nominations.
