She was born under the zodiac sign of Virgo on 18 September 1988, in Santa Clara, California USA; she holds American nationality and her ethnicity is of mixed German, Ashkenazi-Jewish, Portuguese, Scottish and English descent. Her name Shoshana is a Hebrew feminine name, and means ‘lily or rose’.

She’s a singer and actress with 35 credits to her name, and besides the mentioned role, Shoshana is perhaps still known best for her role as Megan in the 2009 movie “Dance Flick”, also starring Shawn and Marlon Wayans, and written and directed by the Wayans brothers. Although the movie had no award nominations, it’s been rated the funniest dance movie of all time.
Early life and education
Shoshana was raised in Tiburon, a small city in Marin County, California, by her parents alongside her three brothers. The profession of her mother Judith Franklin Bush is unknown, while it’s revealed that her father, Michael Bush is a doctor.
Shoshana’s brothers, Joshua and Adam, live their lives away from the media’s attention, while her eldest brother Elliot also works in the movie industry, as an actor perhaps known best for his role as Danny in the series “The Young and the Restless”.
Shoshana had an interest in music and performing from an early age,, and although she liked to sing, she hasn’t sung publicly since she was bullied and humiliated by her high school fellows.

Shoshana made her acting debut in 2005, portraying Teenage Girl in Bank in an episode of the popular crime drama series “CSI: Miami”, and then two years later she was seen in an episode of the series “Moonlight”, followed ” in 2009 by her role as Makenna in “Ghost Whisperer.
In the following year, she was seen in two episodes of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and made guest appearances as Lanie in “The League” and as Tyler in “Wizards of Waverly Place”. Shoshana starred in the pilot of the series “2 Broke Girls” in 2011, and was then cast to play Liz in “Legit”, in 2013, followed by her appearances in “Awkward.”, “Men at Work” and “Sunshine State” in 2014.
Three years later, Shoshana had a recurring role in “Versus”, and then in 2019 she was seen as Candace Tapper in “Stumptown”, before she was cast to play one of her most notable roles for now, as Amber in “On My Block”, a comedy drama, also starring Jason Genao, Sierra Capri and Brett Gray, which had eight award nominations and won Teen Choice Award TV Breakout Show. Shoshana made her big-screen debut portraying Audrey in “Palo Alto, CA”, in 2007, followed by her role as Olivia in “Fling”, and then she was seen in “Fired Up!” before being cast to play her most significant movie role to date, as Megan in “Dance Flick”, in 2009.
In the following year, she starred in the short movie “Babe”, and two years later, Shoshana portrayed Madalyn Gardner in “Broken Roads”, followed by her role as Tricia Arnold in “#1 Serial Killer”, in 2013.
In the same year, she was seen as Vivi in the TV movie “Hot Mess”, and as Shannon Erdman in “Complicity”, a thriller drama, written and directed by C.B. Harding, and then in 2014, she was cast to play Leah in “2 Bedroom 1 Bath”, also starring Dee Wallace, Marcela Macias, and Michele Hicks, followed by her role as Kimber in “The Night Is Young” in 2017.
Shoshana’s most recent movie role was her portrayal of Bridgette Powers in “Hoax” in 2019, and in the same year, she had an uncredited role in “The Laundromat”, a comedy crime drama, starring Antonio Banderas.

There have been various rumors concerning Shoshana’s love life, however, she prefers to keep her personal matters a secret, and hasn’t revealed much information regarding her previous relationships.
However, in March 2022, Shoshana shared with her Instagram followers that she’s bisexual, and on 20 March she posted a photo of her and a mysterious girl with the description saying ‘my heart (a green heart emoji)’; although she hasn’t confirmed if they are in a relationship or not, many of her followers believe that it’s her new girlfriend. The photo was taken in one of Silver Lake’s restaurants, near Los Angeles, and the girl was kissing Shoshana on the cheek, however, many of her fans commented that it wasn’t a friendly kiss, and that looks like a kiss between the two people who are in love with each other.
