Who is Roby Attal?

American actor Roby Attal was born in Austin, Texas USA; he’s managed to keep his exact birthdate a secret, but it’s widely believed that Roby was born in 1994, and that his zodiac sign is Pisces. He has 12 acting credits, and is perhaps known best for portraying Gavin in the 2018 horror thriller movie “Hell Fest”, which Gregory Plotkin directed, and which starred Cynthea Mercado, Stephen Conroy and Amy Forsyth. It follows a masked serial killer as he’s murdering people at a horror-themed amusement park; the film won a 2019 ReFrame Stamp.

Roby’s currently shooting for the upcoming short movie “Dead-Flat Boring”, in which he’ll be starring as Interviewer.

Early life and education

Roby was raised in Austin by his parents, but hasn’t talked about them in public because they prefer to be left out of media; it’s believed that Roby’s mother is a kindergarten teacher and his father a doctor, but this hasn’t been addressed by Roby. It’s also believed that he doesn’t have siblings, as he hasn’t talked about any, but this hasn’t been confirmed either.

Roby’s passion for acting was born while he was attending a local high school in Austin; he was a member of its drama club and appeared in various plays performed there. A couple of his other interests included running track, dancing and playing the guitar.

Roby matriculated in 2012 and then enrolled at college, from which he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2016.

Roby’s debut TV series role was playing Captain David Mathias in three episodes of the 2017 biographical action mini-series “The Long Road Home”, which Mikko Alanne created, and which starred Kate Bosworth, Jason Ritter and Michael Kelly. It follows the ambush of American forces in Baghdad – the mini-series won seven of its 15 award nominations.

In 2020, Roby played Eric in the episode “Tremor” of the popular mystery thriller “Messiah”, created by Michael Petroni, and which starred John Ortiz, Mehdi Dehbi and Michelle Monaghan. It follows a CIA officer as she’s investigating a strange man and his followers; the series won two awards.

The year 2020 also saw Roby play Edmund O’Mara in three episodes of the critically acclaimed mystery horror mini-series “The Haunting of Bly Manor”, created by Mike Flanagan, and which starred Amelia Eve, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Victoria Pedretti. It follows an American nanny who’s begun caring for Henry’s orphaned niece and nephew at Bly Manor, and the mini-series won three of its 26 award nominations.

Roby’s only other TV series role has been portraying Justin Coleman in 10 episodes of the 2022 drama “Partner Track”, which Georgia Lee created, and which starred Bradley Gibson, Alexandra Turshen and Arden Cho. It follows the life of idealistic young lawyer Ingrid Yun, and the series won a 2023 ReFrame Stamp.

Roles in movies

Roby’s film debut was playing Rivers in the 2018 short drama “Bodies of Water”, written and directed by David Lykes Keenan, and which starred Sean Koetting and Ellar Coltrane; it follows 24 years old Marsh who’s hiding a dark secret and has now fallen in love with Rivers, a stranger whom he’s just met. The year 2018 also saw Roby appear in the mystery science fiction horror “Red 11”.

In 2019, he played Throne in the short horror “Stucco”, which Russo Schelling and Janina Gavankar wrote and directed, and which starred Colton Haynes, Michael Ealy and Janina Gavankar. It follows agoraphobic woman Stucco who’s found a hollow wall in her house; the movie won six of its 14 award nominations.

The year 2021 saw Roby play a supporting character in the musical “Shadow Kingdom”, which Alma Har’el directed, and which starred Janie Cowan, Alexander Burke and Bob Dylan; it features Bob Dylan performing some of his favorite songs at various events.

Roby’s since appeared in only two films, playing a supporting character in the 2022 short romantic comedy “Mommy”, and Tyler in the 2023 short thriller “Out There”.

Roby made a guest appearance in a 2018 episode of the talk-show “Made in Hollywood”.

It’s believed that the two have been together for two years now, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
